What's Your Favorite Sandals Resort?

I have only stayed at one Sandals Resort and will be choosing Sandals again for our honeymoon (only at a different location).

FH and I stayed at Sandals Royal Bahamian a few years ago and it was the best experience we've ever had. In our entire lives lol. It was so incredible: the friendliness of staff & their service, the cleanliness of the room/hotel/property in general, the size of the resort, the food options and quality of food itself. Everything exceeded my expectations.

They have an offshore island there as well which was a nice perk. They had two main pools (one seemed popular for games and the other was more oriented towards floating around and swimming up to the bar. The nightly events were fantastic (they had a piano bar and nightly music by extremely talented musicians/singers). It was so romantic and the firepits were amazing as well.

FH and I did not have butler service but "upgraded" to one of "ocean view" rooms. I think this was a waste of money. It was only partial ocean view and to be honest, we were rarely in our room. I have never had butler service so I don't know what to compare it to, but based on our experience, I would suggest saving your money and getting a regular room as you will probably be outside most of the time and not really need personalized service (we never had to wait in line for drinks or food, etc). We stayed there during the second week of May--not sure when your honeymoon is planned. Enjoy though! FH and I are going to try the Sandals Grande St. Lucian for our hm.

ETA: We enjoyed our stay so much, we suggested this as a honeymoon spot for my brother and SIL. They stayed there and loved it as well. They did not upgrade to the butler level suites but said they had an amazing time!

We are staying at the Sandals La Toc in St. Lucia for ours! We did the butler service with the private pool room (we figured fuck it, it's our honeymoon). I haven't stayed at a place with butler service yet, but FFIL and FSMIL have quite a few times, and they sold us on it pretty hard (they love it). I'll let you in October whether I think it was worth it

We have stayed at the sandals Grand St. Lucian, the beach is spectacular and food was incredible plus there are 2 other sandals properties that you can visit in St lucia for dinners which we took advantage of one night. Everyone we dealt with were so nice. We did have butler service and it was awesome to have a spot on the beach reserved for you, they give you cell phones to order lunch or ask for water or whatever you need. I think for special trips it's totally worth it and our butlers Amos and Sabi were the sweetest people. One thing to keep in mind is that you are expected to tip them too, so ends up being an expensive perk. There is no other tipping required at sandals except for butlers and spa.

Thank you all for the feedback. We're meeting with a travel agent this Saturday and I am planning out my questions and undecided on which island to go to, but leaning toward St. Lucia. It sounds like going the Sandals route is a good decision based on all your experiences. @Pej I can't wait to hear about your experience when you get back

We've never stayed at Sandals before, but we booked Sandals Barbados for our honeymoon! We went for the concierge service instead of the butler service. My best friend and her husband did butler service for their honeymoon and said it really wasn't worth it.

Were doing the concierge service and ocean view for our HM in Jamaica!
