What’s your favorite unconventional wedding food?

I think most people are pretty accommodating because they aren't paying for it, and it's not the focus of the event.

I've enjoyed all the food I've ever had at weddings. Some more than others, but I've been lucky and enjoyed every meal. I will be honest though and say nothing has ever stood out - I had steak at one, I think, and some kind of roast pumpkin thing as an entree at another, but honestly couldn't tell you much more than that!

My husband and I still talk about the crab cake appetizers we had at a wedding in Annapolis, MD overlooking the Chesapeake Bay over 25 years ago!

We had fried Oreos, various ice cream cones and our cocktail hour had food stations from a lot of different countries.

I attended a wedding that served Texas sheet cake in addition to the wedding cake. It was apparently the groom’s favorite dessert. I’d never heard of it before, but maaaaaaan was I a fan! It was better than the wedding cake!

I love all those Polish traditions of food served at night (wedding parties are till the morning) : soup with some stuffed things, an open bar with different things... like this :

BBQ. Especially when people get that good BBQ from a legit BBQ place.

We are doing a taco bar at our wedding.. hopefully people enjoy it lol. 20 people microwedding. We just love Mexican food.
