What's your first dance song? Why did you choose it?

So after waiting so long my wedding day is almost here. (eek!) 4 days to go!! I have been doing a lot of reflecting the past few days and (crying like a baby) when i think about how special and important our day is this Saturday. We have chosen "Your Still The One" by Shania Twain as our first dance...

So after waiting so long my wedding day is almost here. (eek!) 4 days to go!! I have been doing a lot of reflecting the past few days and (crying like a baby) when i think about how special and important our day is this Saturday.

We have chosen "Your Still The One" by Shania Twain as our first dance song. Neither one of us is really a country music fan but the words in this song fit us perfectly. When we first got together no one thought we would make it. (we didn't either) But now 17 years later, a house a crazy 4 year old son our day is finally getting here.

    @kari thats the song we chose too!!! we both love twilight and everytime i hear that song i get the goosies and cry its just so perfect!!! Fh didnt like the first version but he really likes the second one with the guy in it. ugh im going to be balling like a baby

    @Evily, we are also doing Grow Old With You!! Smiley smile I love it! My fiancé's brother is going to sing it for us though, to slow it down a bit.

    After discussing this multiple times and both of us picking songs that the other didn't like, and having FSIL (my brother's girlfriend) complain that we had chosen THEIR first dance song (My brother hasn't even proposed yet...), we FINALLY chose a song!

    "Its Your Love" by Tim McGraw & Faith Hill. And yes, we're country music fans!

    We are dancing to "groovy kind of love" by Phil Collins

    My fiancé and I were cooking one night when we first started dating before I lived with him and he just started singing the song when it came on his iPod and ever since then it's kinda been our thing so that's it that's the song!

    We have Oh Tonight -Josh Abbott

    We like to dance (country) it became our song before we started even dating. It means a lot to us. It's going to be so special to have it as our 1st dance song.

    "Forever Like That" by Ben Rector... we were originally going to do Etta James "At Last", but when I heard this song I knew it was "the one"!

    We just settled on this. Our first dance will be "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. It's so beautiful and his voice is amazing. It will be a perfect first dance song at our New Orleans style wedding!

    We're using an instrumental version of Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. My fiance' said no traditional love songs and we wanted something different ( he also doesn't like country music for some reason lol). After reading the lyrics I think it suits us perfectly.

    We are having our first dance to "Something" by The Beatles. No special reason behind it, but when we were reviewing songs to dance to, that was the one that brought tears to our eyes.

    "When You Say Nothing At All" it's somewhat cheesy, but it was our first slow dance, and every time I hear it now I smile Smiley smile
