What's your ring size?

NativeBride, on April 7, 2016 at 8:37 PM

I have super skinny fingers and had to get my engagement ring re-sized to a 4. It's still to big but I'm just going to grow into it since I gain and lose weight all the time. Now i'm wondering what ring sizes are all of y'all? And for any BAMS have y'all have to re-size your ring since your wedding?...

I have a size 8.25 but it is still slightly too big even after being fitted and sized. When I'm thinner, I'm a size 6.5-7. I think 6-6.5 is the average size and is usually the standard sizing for women's rings. The jeweler where we got our ring, all the sample rings and settings were sized at 6.5.

I'm somewhere between 4.25 and 4.5 so my ring is a 4.5 and I got sizing beads that are about a quarter size I believe. I was hesitant to get them but I have larger knuckles and my hands swell a lot in the heat so I didn't want to go down a size. They tried the sizing band and I hated the look of it and it took like 10 minutes for them to get it off my finger when I tried it on in the store so sizing beads it was. It felt weird at first but after a few days I didn't feel then anymore. Someone above asked if it hurts with the beads going over your knuckles. When my fingers are swollen it sometimes hurts...more to take off than put on, but I've found running some cold water over my hand for a few seconds helps it slide off easier. Plus I feel a little bit of pain every once in a while is better than having the ring fall off somewhere!

6.75 luckily it was the stock size. I had to make my band a tad bigger to a 7. The fit was a bit different.

Right now my ring is a 6, but it's a little big. I figure once we get the band made, we will see how it all fits, and if it needs to be sized down.

I have to wear a 6 because I have large knuckles, but it's really loose on me. I have a removable plastic ring sizer on it that's supposed to make it smaller, and it still spins around on my finger. I can't even get my ring over my knuckle though without my hand being wet.

I'm a 3 usually. I have very small hands and always have trouble getting rings/bracelets to fit. I have to either buy kids stuff, look for vintage jewelry, or have things sized.

4.75! I'm surprised there are so many with small hands!

9.5 but my ring is a 10. So it is a little loose. My fingers swell some days so it works fine.

I wear a 4 or a 4.5. Sometimes the 4.5 feels too loose but my band is a 4 so the e-ring shouldn't slip once they are fused.

5.5 but I think it could be smaller. It just stinks when hands swell and shrink all the time!

Depending on the ring, either 7 or 7.5. Usually I wear a 7 with thicker bands, and 7.5 with thinner bands.

5.25. We were all surprised, my other fingers are 7 or more! Poor fiance had ordered and paid for an 8

My knuckle is wider than where the ring rests on my finger...I'm a size 6...keep having to say to my mom "if I get it resized, I won't be able to take it off." I'm a nurse and can't wear any jewelry below the elbows. Plus depending on the day and the weather, I can either have a skinny finger or a slightly puffy finger.
