When are wedding photos ready?

We're seeing posts here that make maybe a month delay seem common. There have been more weddings in compressed time since people rescheduled ceremonies following the covid era. Probably most of the work on the photos is done in the color enhancement so this is why the images are not all available so quickly. Doublecheck what the contract says too... but it also does not help to rush them. Hopefully you can get some images quickly.

My contract is 6 weeks but can be delayed depending on season. We'll be in the off-season so we expect our photos will be quickly turned around as he got our engagements done in a week.

We were quoted about a month and a half for ours. Given the COVID wedding boom, the popularity of the time of year for weddings, and the holidays, I wouldn't be surprised if it took longer. But I'd honestly rather wait and have them do a good job than rush them.
