When did i become this person?!

I feel you. All of our big decisions have been painless, but I’ve been obsessed with centerpieces for at least a month. It’s insane and like you, I never thought I’d care this much. Good luck!

I relate to this SO much! When beginning this process a year ago, I was the most relaxed, “anti-bride” ever. Initially, I wasn’t even going to have centerpieces! Then when I finally agreed to have them, it was only as long as they were small and fake- cuz people who spent all that money on real flowers that were just going to die were CRAZY! Flash forward 9 months & I am now having real flower centerpieces that are costing $350-400 each, and insisting they include an expensive flower that will have to be shipped in and will significantly raise the cost of them. I don’t even know who I am any more!!!

Oh I can totally relate!! Who have I become that I havent spoken to my future MiL in weeks because she insulted my centerpieces. Why do I care so much!?
Dont let it consume you. You'll wake up and feel like a turd one day from it. Do what you want most and dont ask opinions because when you dont hear what you want, that's where it all starts.

Everyone feels that way or some point! I went the diy route and am doing floating candles with fake flowers in the water . Acmoore the craft store is closing so I just scored a ton of great deals on florals!

I was the same way so I feel your pain. Having already gotten married I can tell you it’s not worth the stress because nobody cares. I ended up with something very simple because I decided it was stressing me too much. I tried to focus on the things we felt were a priority like good food and drinks and great music. That’s what I knew my guests would appreciate. Try not to stress too much over centerpieces.

100% same! I never thought I would care about a lot of things and now every detail has to be perfect, so much back and forth. I just keep telling myself it will all be worth it at the end!

We decided to rent our centerpieces and have talk and small ones to save money. If we had chosen tall ones with real flowers, they would’ve been $200+ each and way over our budget. So we compromised. And the lights will be dimmed anyway so you can’t tell that they are fake flowers.

I totally relate! I've only had one breakdown during our engagement, and it was over the centerpieces. I thought the first ones we got were going to look great when they were all put together, but I ended up hating it and had a meltdown. haha. Our new ones are so much better!

Lol, I didn't care much about my hair until this past month I started obsessing over it, posting multiple times on the boards (several others), constantly searching images, comparing to the Pinterest photo, and even reaching out to the stylist of that photo herself. I guess we all go crazy for no good reason over something!

Wa ha ha. I didn’t think I was a girly-girl bride but I was OBSESSED with invitations and linens. 😍😍😍

Centerpieces have been my thing too. I think I've finally settled on no flowers. 3 different height vases filled with clear marbles/water/ and a white floating candle on a square mirror with our table number

Chair flowers are my obsession at the moment


For centerpieces we decided there is no way we are paying $45 per arrangement. We got 5 in bubble vases from Michaels on sale. I'm going to order bulk flowers from Costco (something cheap and easy like baby's breath and carnations) and stick them in

I feel you! I feel like im spending an arm and a leg on candles!!! And our venue requires that they are within glass votives. It all just keeps adding up.
