I love the look of the glass (I believe they call them chimneys) for taper candles, but they are soooooooooo expensive! I was shocked when I went to order them. It was going to be something absurd like $700 just for the chimneys! Moral of the story: I am no longer having taper candles LOL

We are having a mix of tealights and mixed sized standard candles. But they require them all to be votives of some kind. Im thinking about going for mason jars for most of them!

Hahahahaha #BrideProblems I was with you and then my florist was like LET ME JUST DO IT. So we are having three (different height) Cylinder glass vases with floating candles a few fairy lights surrounding them along with a few petals.. simple, elegant and she’s doing them for me ahha win.

I’m also obsessed with my centerpiece idea - and I have a pretty good idea of what they’re going to look like. We’re not doing flowers at all (never really was a flower kind of gal), and instead doing about 4-5 tall brass candlesticks per table with dripless candles and some greenery, that’s been my longtime vision. My venue doesn’t require them to be in votives but they need to be dripless if I’m not doing votives so their linens aren’t ruined. I’ve bought a BUNCH of candlesticks at thrift stores for about a $1-3 each and still have plentyyyyy of time before my wedding to buy more if needed for accent tables. Living in a big city helps too because these thrift stores are stock full of candlesticks.

I think what has thrown me is that I originally wanted rectangular tables and planned on garland and candles. But now, since we’ve done the layout based on the venue’s tables, they will be mostly round. You would think the world was ending the way my mind reacts. Lol. I am thinking I want to do a few tables with tall DIY flower centerpieces (after a million videos on YouTube I’ve watched) and a few with candles.
