When did you introduce your SO to your family?

I knew of my SO for years but never really talked to him. We just had mutual friends. He's actually related to my aunt by distant cousins but that's another story lol. I have children from a previous marriage. We starting dating and was moving kinda fast. I introduce him to my family on Thanksgiving 2 months

after we started dating. And that's when be stepped up with my girls. It just felt right and I don't regret him meeting them early. He's a great man and step dad already.

Maybe about two weeks after we started dating? We were in highschool and he came over for a cookout one weekend.

I have know FH since we were young so My family already knew him but we were together About 6months when I told them we were dating

My FH had met my parents before we started dating. We worked at the same theatre, and they came to see a show we were both in, and met him then after the show.

The first time FH ever came to a family event was probably Easter maybe about 6-8 weeks after we started dating, but he had already met my parents and such.

I met his family a month or so after we started dating. Somehow, and I'm not entirely sure how it happened, but he met part of mine on our second date. I thought for sure he would think I was trying to move things too fast by having him meet the family on date number two.

We started dating in February and I was going to bring him to a family party in mid/late April, so I brought him over to my parents' house in early April. We all had pizza. We also all went out to dinner around April 12 for my birthday.

Our first year turned out to be a little rocky, so there was some awkwardness there, but we got thing straightened out in our second year and have been good ever since.

My parents met H before I did. They tried to hook us up! Haha. Also, I do have a child who was about about 3-4 months old when I met H, so they interacted (minimally) on few occasions. After we started dating, H "met" and spent some quality time with my son pretty early on, since he was only 11 months old at that point, it wasn't a huge deal.

He met my immediate family before we actually started dating! My sisters and I were performing in a concert at a local coffee shop, and he came to see it, meeting my parents and all my siblings in the process. I met his family about a year after we started dating (we were long distance by that point, and they lived out of state).

I met his oldest son before we started dating as well, although we knew we were interested in each other. We were at a barbecue with a bunch of our friends, and H ended up bringing him too. He was a VERY confident 16-year old boy...and he hit on me. It was maybe the most awkward experience I've ever had, although we laugh about it now.

We started dating in March an by April he met my sister and then the rest of the family shortly after that.

We had been seeing each other probably about a month. Hadn't had the bf/gf discussion yet either.

He came over to pick me up and meet my family (whom I am very close to) which was kind of a big deal and a little scary. My little sister (the middle child) decided to make it even worse by forcing him to fill out a boyfriend application. And he did it! Stuck it out like a champ while my other sister tried to covertly help him out lol.

Middle sister still has it and plans to bust it ou during her MOH speech lol

We actually met because of our families. My mom and I were customers at his grandparents store. By the time we dated we already knew each others family pretty well

I met FH in January. We started dating in May. We met in college and our hometowns are 2 hrs away from each other. He came to visit the first week of august and met my parents. I met his the end of August/beginning of September.

FH and I started dating in July, I think I met his parents pretty early on - within a month or so. He met my mom a couple of months after that, simply because she lives in another state.

I met FH's parents on accident (we ran into them at the zoo of all places). That was about a month or so in. He didn't meet my mom for over a year, maybe closer to 2. My son was 6 when we started dating and he was introduced about 4 months in.

Pretty much immediately. I was a senior in high school when they first met him with my mutual friends group and I still lived at home.

This post is making me bitter because it took 2 years for her to meet my parents. granted, we live across the country from my parents but there were a couple of times we were all in the same place and my mom said "i dont want to meet her now." mom was living in dreamland hoping it was all just a "phase." 3.5 years later and she's made a total 180, so i guess i should stop being cranky about it.

FH met my father and daughter 3 months after we started dating. My mother met him 3 years later bc she lives in another state. I met FIL after 5 months.

We were friends before we started dating, so we had met each other's parents before. Extended family was just when the next family event was (a few months or so)

I met my FH's parents about 2 months after we started talking, but one month or so after we officially started dating.

But my FH has yet to meet my dad. My mom met him about 1 year after we started dating. Getting my parents to "accept" him has been the hardest thing because they are old school and wanted me to marry someone of Indian decent since I am Indian. Needless to say, its still a big issue that I am dealing with, but FH and I are 100% on the same page.
