When did you introduce your SO to your family?

All of our parents are spread out all over the country, so the timing really depended on when we could make trips. I already knew his mom and stepdad, as they live in the same city and I knew them from church. After we started dating, the introduction of me as "the girlfriend" was immediate, but not super scary because, I already was friendly with them.

Since we live in AZ and my parents live in DE, they did not meet DH until we had been dating for 8 months. He flew home for a visit with me.

I did not meet his dad, who lives in SD, until we had been together for over 3 years and had been engaged for nearly 2 months. He doesn't visit his dad often and we went to visit him for Thanksgiving the year after we got engaged.

My FH met my parents probably two years after we met, but that's because we lived far away from them and there had to a reason for us both to visit. I met his mom after a month and his extended family after maybe five months. They were in our local area.

FH met my parents before we even started dating... I met his around a month or so after he asked me out.

My family met my fiance after dating a week. I was living with them at the time and I made him dinner.

FH met my parents long before we started dating. He hung around the house with my older sister (my MOH) and my now brother in law (his BM). We were in high school and living at home at the time, so I met his parents pretty quickly as well!

We've known each other for over 25 years and were in the same youth organization. My mom always loved FH but we were never more than just friends. We got reacquainted last May through Facebook. My mom is a Facebook stalker and noticed he was commenting quite a bit on my page and started nagging me about dating him. We met each other's respective kids early on but it was still in the "only hanging out as friends" stage. We decided to start actually seeing each other in August and had a sit down with his kids. He lost his wife to cancer in October 2014 and had dated only one woman seriously since then. That relationship was a disaster so we wanted to move slow with the kids involvement. The kids were 17 and 13 and so we made sure they were on board before we got into the grove of dating.

We started dating in late October and went to both of our family Thanksgivings together less than a month later. We definitely moved fast, but it was really reassuring to us to see how easily we got along with our families.

We were friends long before we even dated and my parents knew him before but my mom did not like him at all. It took her a little bit to warm up to him, but now he is hanging out with my mom even when I'm not there. They even stayed up til like almost 2am last night watching a movie and eating popcorn.

I met his parents 10.5 months into our relationship. He met mine about 13 months in.

I met FH's family about 3 weeks in, he met mine about a year in

FH met my family pretty quickly because he helped me move and they were in town helping as well. That was about 1 month into dating. I met his a couple months later for his birthday.

FH met my family about 7 months into our relationship.

I was living with my parents when we first started dating so he met them after like one week. Lol

I actually knew FH's mom and brother before I really knew him (we'd briefly talked in passing before when he was home from school in Florida). He met my oarebts about 2 weeks into us knowing we were dating (other people figured it out before us) when we went out for my birthday. I officially met his dad about 1 month in.

DH and I are from different continents, so while we had met each other's families often, our families didn't meet each other until the week of our wedding. They had waved hi over skype on Christmasses, and after we got engaged our mothers exchanged a few emails, but they only met in person the Wednesday before we got married.

We were in high school so I think we met each other's parents either before we even started dating or shortly after from going to each other's houses. He met my extended family about a month into the relationship at a family cookout and I met his maybe 2 months in at an annual family picnic.
