When did you know he was THE ONE?

Honestly, I knew before we even started dating. We met at young adult get together through our church in California. It was over a weekend and I think we may have said 5 words to each other. But I added him on facebook afterwards and we just started talking. Every night for hours. He was so easy to talk to. We had conversations about everything and nothing. And I just knew he was the one. I knew we were going to get married one day. 5 months later, him and his friend drove from California to Canada in the dead of winter, literally getting stuck in snow storms, so that we could actually hang out in person for the first time. We've been together since.

I was scared to death after my FH asked me out and was ready to run on more than one occasion (I had been hurt and disappointed more times then I care to remember and so it was hard for me to trust). My oldest daughter, who was sick at the time but we didn't know it told me that she coudl tell he was a good man and I should give him a chance and so I did. Two months later, that same daughter passed away and I felt like I had to be strong for everyone else and hold it together, but with him, the night before her service, he just looked at me and said "let it out" and I did, all over him and he just held me while I cried like a baby. It was the first time in my life that I felt that I could just let go and there was someone there who would catch me, someone who wasn't waiting for me to take care of them, but wanted to take care of me. It was only 3 months after our first date. I knew then.

We were friends for several years before we started dating and, even though I wasn't attracted to him initially, I always had a sneaking suspicion that we were going to end up together.

I truly knew he was the one when (after we started dating) we were talking about New Year's Eve - our first together. I told him I didn't care if we didn't go anywhere, but I wanted to spend it with him because I'd never had a date for New Year's Eve. He told me of course we'd spend this NYE together, and then we'd spend next year's together, and the one after that, and the one after that.....I didn't get that 'yeah right' feeling. In my heart, I knew we would be spending all of our holidays together - forever.

I knew he was the one when we had our first outing with my daughters. I waited several months into our relationship to introduce FH to my children. I wanted to make sure that he was going to be around long term before bringing him into their lives.

We had our first outing together at the zoo. While watching the monkeys, my oldest who was 8 at the time got ill and started throwing up. Before I even realized what was going on, he had quietly walked her over to the garbage can and was rubbing her back and holding her hair while she vomited. It brought tears to my eyes to see him showing such kindness and compassion to my daughter. That's when I knew he was the one.

A few days tops... I thought he could be on the first date which is also the first time we met since we met online but it made me nervous to get so ahead of myself but i remember clearly thinking right about the time he kissed me that this could be my last first kiss. 2 days later when he told me he was falling in love with me is right about the time it hit me... this was more then just a few dates... this was real and the start of a lifetime together.

Everyone told me to be careful that there was no way i could really love him after 3 days and they didn't want to see me getting hurt. But i knew in my heart it was true love.

Now its been 3 1/2 years and i can't imagine life without him.

After our first date I text my mom that I thought he might be the one. I was right. 18 months later I'm planning our wedding.

Lol mine is kind of silly.It was fairly early in the relationship.
