When does it stop feeling surreal?

It felt real when we booked our venue & I asked my bridesmaids. Then it was like "we are really getting married!". We have a longer engagement, so we had a lull with planning until we sent out save the dates. Then it was like "oh right! That's coming soon!" haha

It felt real once I got my dress. I’m less than 6 months out & couldn’t be happier.

We got engaged on a trip and then after that we sent my ring off to get sized. Since I didn’t get to “show it off” until almost a month later the feeling lingered a bit, probably until about a month and a half.
And then the excitement came in spurts; 1st meeting with the priest (I was trying not to tear up as he was asking us questions), finding our venue (oh my goodness this is REAL!), sending invites and getting responses and now finally being a month out (I can’t believe this it, this is really happening!)

It felt really real on my wallet once we started booking and paying for things, lol. It's all fun and games and surreal and then you get into the nitty gritty of planning!

After that it started getting surreal again after we sent invites and got our marriage license!

Honestly, weirdly, it felt real when we almost eloped! Lol. We were about 10 months out from our set wedding date and we were on vacation, and we seriously debated saying “screw it!” to the whole big wedding and just getting married there! We decided against eloping for many reasons and we are still going to have our big wedding this summer, but getting to the point where we both felt we were ready to just tie the knot right then and there, made it feel so real that this was actually happening. Not right that moment lol, but in 10 months.

We had already done a few things including booking our venue and officiant but it felt the most real when I went dress shopping and saw myself looking like a bride! The consultant at the store also kept calling me the bride so I was just like 'oh my gosh I am a bride!'

Honestly, when we were talking to my FH's younger sister on the phone like 9 months ago and she said aloud that her brother is getting married! I think everyone in the phone conversation reflected on that statement and smiled.

I think I’m this last month when a lot of my items started arriving after 6 months

it got super real wheny first bridesmaids dresses were delivered and now is almost too much when I consider my own dress situation

other than my own self consciousness I feel like after planning everything and saving money it didn’t really hit home... it did a bit more later when we actuallystarted spending thousands but once everything started to get delivered and my spare room began to be the wedding room I felt like it was REAL... it’s really happening and we are really doing this

it is real to me now (6-7 months after proposal and immediately started planning and saving, started making purchases in October I believe but really ordered a ton in November so this first few weeks of December have brought me like over 100 packages and having it all has made it real for me)

It still feels surreal sometimes that we are actually married! I look down at my finger and smile still! We were together for so long and had so many hurdles to get over before we could get married. Once we did, we got engaged and were married less than 5 months later. It's a great feeling!

I've been engaged 4 months and it still doesn't feel real to me.
Each time my friend/bridesmaid, who sits right next to me at work, says to me "OMG I can't believe you're getting married! You're going to be a wife!", it sinks in more and more.

We got engaged 2 weeks ago, have chose our date, and booked our venue and I'm looking at dress shopping. It still hasn't hit me haha

So I have been engaged for like 8 and half months and it still almost doesn't feel real. I catch myself staring at the ring and I catch myself smiling like an idiot thinking about him! I get married in a month, and our whole engagement is just like woooo this is awesome, but it still doesn't feel real! I just floating on cloud 9!

We got engaged our first night of our Disney trip and he had custom buttons made (mine was Rapunzel and Flynn) that said "we're engaged!".... so literally every worker congratulated us. After 5 days there, it had pretty much sunken in lol

I've been engaged since August. I'm still in awe lol. I sit here and look at my ring and think wow I'm going to be living out my dream and getting married to my best friend.
