When is the best time to start planning

Start planing anytime! The first big thing to set is your budget and guest list- then comes the venue. It never hurts to plan too early (for some things) but then at the end of planning you may be bored waiting for the next steps!

My wedding is in October of 2014 and just last month I thought it was way too early to plan anything. And now this month, I feel like I have no time to plan anything hahah.

I have two year but thing is about planning this wedding is that my soon to be husband is back home in GA and I am in NC

My wedding is in a year and I'm planning now. I'm getting my venue out the way, my wedding party together, dj locked in, photographer, taking engagement pics next month. Sending out STDs in January or Feb. I think now is a great time to start venue shopping and paying on it....the more time the better imo.

We got engaged in December and started planning right away. I drove myself crazy for months with indecision. I'd wait until 6 months out myself because you HAVE To make decisions at that point and just run with them. LOL

We started planning immediately and it was 2 yrs out

We want to get married next november. We are going to look at our top choice venue on Sunday. I have been talking with the event coordinator there all week and she says that from Sept-Nov 2014 they only have 4 Saturdays open. So I'd say the earlier the better! PLUS more time to pay everything out.

I started planning right after my engagement. So 14 months total. Although, ppl. Thought I was nuts, I st think I'm less stressed with 6 weeks to go then if I would have waited you'll change your mind about lots of things so take your sweet time and enjoy this time of your lives.

I started pretty early. My wedding is also next October but I knew the more time I had to pay off the venue, (and big things in general like photographer and DJ), the better I would feel. That being said, its all up to you!

I'm planning early but depends on your situation. If you have champagne taste & a beer budget start early so you can save! Or if you're also buying a new house together. If money isn't an object or you're doing something small then you may not need as much time.

I would say start planning as early as possible. I'm using LadyMarry as a guideline, which provides me with a customized schedule.
