When should guests RSVP?

I'm trying to put together my wedding invitations. When should my guests RSVP by? I get married May 27th, 2017. So should I do it by April 1st? Is that too early? Just a month before? I'm not sure!

    My RSVP date was exactly one month before our wedding. Please don't do it earlier than that. You may get a lot of people who want to change their RSVPs after the deadline because things change if it's too far out.

    I've set my RSVP for 4/14. Gives me time to track down the slackers. Before our venue wants a final head count April. 30th

    LOL, how are they going to know if you don't tell them. It's not rude. It's called life. Not everyone can come to every event. Plans change. Who made you the god of b-listing?
