When should i start planning?

My fiancé and I are wanting to get married in either the spring or fall of 2025. Anyone have any ideas of when we should start planning (considering i would be doing most it since he doesn’t really know anything about weddings)

Probably neither of you know how to plan a wedding like most couples. You're not marrying yourself so grab your partner and start laying out a budget asap.

Definitely figure out a budget and start looking at prices of things where you plan to get married. That will help you figure out what you can afford and then go from there. Figure out what’s the most important to you and how much of your budget you’re willing to spend on it (for instance photo/video was very important to us so we spent a 3rd of our budget on it) and then we sacrificed in some other areas. I’d say for a fall wedding especially I would reach out about a year and half before to vendors and they’ll let you know their availability. Fall is popular. I started planning 13 months out for an October wedding and our venue was almost booked so we had to get married on a Sunday and other vendors I reached out to were booked already
