When to cut your hair

Gen, on October 2, 2018 at 4:11 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 17
How far before the wedding are you all/your future spouses getting your hair cut?

I feel like my hair always needs at least a month after getting it cut to grow a little and look more natural, but don’t want to do it too early or it won’t look as fresh! What are you all doing??

I got my hair cut 6 weeks before the wedding I think. H got his haircut on Tuesday for our Saturday wedding.

My wedding is on 10/13 and I'm getting a trim this coming Saturday 10/6. I think FH said he was getting his hair cut this week.

I did mine two weeks before.

He did his 2 days. I was not happy, but the girl cutting it understood when I said "Cut it, but don't make it look like it has been cut! He's getting married in two days"

I'm getting mine cut 3 weeks before, my fiance 1 week before. Then having it touched up the day before but not completely cut!

I’m getting a cut and color next Tuesday, which is 10 days before our wedding. FH is getting a cut this Saturday, 13 days before. He’ll also get a clean up and straight shave the morning of the wedding. I don’t love FHs hair right after it’s cut, it always makes him look a little funny 😬 so I prefer it if he gets it done with a little time to let it grow in a bit.

I got a BIG haircut before my trial in June, about 7 weeks before I got married. I cut 6 inches off, had it thinned out, and had layers put in but I have long hair. I also got it cut 3 days before the wedding but it was just a trim.

FH got his cut the week before then came back in two days prior to our wedding and had her clean up a couple of things.

That’s how I feel about both of us! lol it always looks a little awkward right after it’s cut. I really have no idea when to do mine. For FH I told him 2 weeks but he is arguing that he wants 3 weeks because he likes his hair better longer lol. *sigh* probably won’t make much difference either way

I plan to get mine cut a week before. I have a pixie cut and it grows out very fast so for me closer to the wedding is better. If your hair is longer I could see getting your hair cut further out like 3 weeks before our something like that.

Oh yeah definitely for a pixie cut I could see how it would be better to go closer to the wedding date!

My stylist said to not cut my hair before because the dead ends give it some gripe.

If you’re having a trial, don’t get it cut after the trial. So whenever you decide, make sure it’s done before you have a hair trial.

I kept my hair long and mostly one length since I knew it was going into an updo, so I had the dead ends cut about 4 weeks before. H got his cut on Wednesday for our saturday weekend. I think he would have preferred to have done it a little earlier than that to give more time to grow in a little but it worked out fine. He also had a professional shave at the baber shop (which was a birthday gift I had gotten him)

Still debating. I just had my hair cut and highlighted like 4 weeks ago and we fly out to Vegas for the wedding 3 weeks from today. I feel like it looks good now and I guess I'm just crossing my fingers that the highlights won't look too grown out in 3 weeks since I really don't want to shell out the money for a touch up in the next couple of weeks.

I'm going three weeks before to get my hair cut and highlighted. My hairdresser recommended around a month before.
