When to get wedding nails done?

John Smith, on February 19, 2020 at 8:37 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 13

Two of my bridesmaids were talking about getting their nails done the morning of the wedding with their friends and their mother, but I was thinking that we could all go together the day before (their friends can come too, I don't care).

Is it okay to get them done the day before, or is it best to do them the morning of?

Thanks!

I'm getting my nails done the day before! I've been in several weddings and have always gotten them done 1-2 days before the wedding. There's so many things to do the morning of (we have to be at the venue for hair & makeup at 8am) so there's usually not enough time the day of.

I am doing mine 2 days before. I will be really busy the day before. I am getting Gels so they last.

I would say the day or 2 before is perfect, the day of just has to much going on!

Whatever works best for you. I painted my nails on a Wednesday and got married on a Saturday.

I did mine two days before and offered to take any moms or bridesmaids (that were in town) and pay for them. I wouldn't do them the day of, you'll have a lot going on.

Is it bad if I don't offer to pay for them? I wasn't planning on it.

Not at all! As long as it's optional for the girls and they can do whatever they want with their nails.

Yes, that’s fine. Just say something like: hey I was thinking of getting my nails done (here) at (time, day), would you like to join me?

After our rehearsal I took my bridal party and mothers out to lunch (I paid) and then made a nail appointment (I didn’t pay for this) for whomever wanted to come with. This was all planned and communicated in advance. After that we went to the rehearsal dinner (which husband and I hosted). Mothers and one bridesmaids painted their own nails at home sometime ahead of the wedding and their nails looked just fine.

I'm getting mine done 2 days before! the day before and day of wedding are going to be insane haha. I suppose if your wedding is later in the evening and there's enough time for them to get them done day of, it wouldn't be an issue. But I would rather have them done a couple days before and not worry about it!
