Where are you ordering from? We are getting married in October and already ordered ours but only because we were getting them from Vistaprint and caught a 50% off sale.

I ordered mine when I ordered out STDs because there was a sale going on for Magnetstreet where we got them from. It all depends on preference. I would want mine ordered about 3-4 months before. So you have time for them to get to you, then you have sometime to get them labeled and organized to send out about 2-2 1/2 months before your wedding.

I ordered mine when we got the Save the dates because there was a 75% off deal. But I ordered wayyyy too many like like 60 too many plus rsvp cards. So that’s $$ down the drain lol

I ordered mine about 4 months in advance (in January for a late May wedding).

I think the checklist on here says to order them like 6-7 months in advance, but I found that to be too early. Maybe if you are doing custom invites you need to worry about them that early, but I just ordered ours off of Basic Invite.

All of ours came for both our August DW wedding and October reception at home. I only ordered when I did because there was 50% off but since everything is set I figured better early than rushing!

I’m probaby going to order mine in July because that’s about when Vistaprint has their semi-annual sale. I know it’s early because our wedding isn’t until March, but I’d rather save money when I can!

It depends on where you are ordering them from. If you have all have the details locked down and they won't change, then watch for a good sale. I got mine a couple months ago on Vistaprint when they had a 40 or 50 percent off sale.

I am not ordering for my 9/22/18 wedding, for a few more weeks. I am indecisive & don't want to deal with it yet.

We just ordered ours at the beginning of March for our late-June wedding, and honestly I feel like we waited a bit too long. I expected to have them by now, but there have been some holdups/questions with the production, and won't have them before sometime next week at the earliest.

Once we get them, I'll have to assemble them (glue to a backer and to the pocket/holder) and address them all in a matter of about two weeks. I know I can do it, but I really didn't want to have to rush.

I'd order them as soon as you're sure that your details are set (we are having a plated dinner, so needed to finalize our entrees to print on the RSVP card) and when you have a good idea of your guest list's final numbers and the amount of invitations that you will need.

    Date twin! and #same lol.

I'm waiting to order mine as well. I figure I'll start looking around end of April/early May and then order by Mid-May to have them sent out mid-June.

As soon as I was 100% on the details o created mine and saved them for a sale! When they hit 50% off I ordered them. That was probably 6 months go. The savings made it totally worth it! And then I was able to prepare them leisurely!

You can order them as soon as your plans and guest list are 100% set in stone.

We're not ordering ours until after our next meeting with our Venue coordinator (sometime in April) because we're working on changing our Ceremony start time and I don't want to have to order anything twice. We got confirmation for the time change from the venue via email, but they also had a change in coordinators, so I don't want to take any chances that they forget about it.

I actually just read about this in Post Etiquette! They suggested sending them out 6-8 weeks before the wedding, budgeting 2 weeks to address them all, and leaving yourself 2 months between ordering them and actually needing them. I'm sure that's a lot longer than it needs to be with certain sites, but better safe than sorry. My wedding is end of September, so I'm ordering by end of May.
