When to send invites?

June 27th here I just sent some of mine out last week FH fam has still not gotten back to us with some of his family's addresses so they are going out at we receive them!

Im doing digital e-vites with my rsvp website. I sent them out last week and my wedding is in November

Our wedding is June 6 and I just sent invites out yesterday!

Our wedding is June 5th and invitations officially went out yesterday too! I am so excited!

Our wedding is 10/17 and I ordered the invites over the weekend (I was too excited and I found a great deal!). My plan was to mail them out end of July with the RSVP by 9/1. Seemed a bit early but with out of town guests being half our list and needing to track guests down/counts to our reception venue get right to have it a tad earlier!

Our wedding is May 16th, I just sent invitations out this past weekend. I gave an RSVP date of April 2nd. I need a head count to at least 2 venders by April 16th. I don't know if most people do it this way, but I wanted to give myself agood buffer between the RSVP date and the deadline for head count so I can contact those who haven't responded. It took me forever to settle on an RSVP date and when to send them out. Everything I read said something different!

I’d say 3 Months. Unless you’re having a destination wedding, then I’d say 6-8 Months

I'm a June bride as well and just ordered my invites as well, they should be here next week.

I sent mine out in November! I’m sending out follow up ones here in the next few days as well. I used e-invites because I feel no one really keeps the paper ones anymore and everything is going digital. Punch bowl was my go to!! I’m having a few hand crafted for sentimental reasons but that’s it.

I'm sending mine on March 10th. RSVP by May 10th

Our wedding was June 2 last year. We sent invitations in mid-March, about 10 weeks before the wedding. Since many people had to travel we figured it made sense to give them a little extra time.


We also actually sent a first round of invitations to immediate family and bridal party about 4 months in advance. Only because my husband’s relatives all live across the country and kept asking when they were going to get invitations so they could book their travel. We reminded them that we had sent save the dates and that they had all the information they could need to book stuff, but they seemed to not want to do it until the official invitation went out lol, so we just sent some very early only to our families and bridal party (basically people who already knew all the details and were verbally confirmed to be coming anyway)

Oh and our headcount wasn’t due until 72 hours before the wedding but I made our RSVP deadline a month in advance. Gave me a good amount of time to track down stragglers and to make the seating chart.

We sent our's out 2 weeks ago for our June 13th wedding. Our wedding coordinator at our venue ( at a hotel) said that she recommended sending them out earlier since half of our guests are traveling from out of town!

I don't think it's to early - people like to have time to plan!
