6-8 weeks before the wedding. If you send them earlier, guests will think you are looking for seat fillers to replace them, and they will also lose and forget the information. If you send them after 6 weeks, people will know you are looking for seat fillers because someone else declined.

Assuming you are having a local wedding where most guests will not be traveling extensively to attend, 6-8 weeks is standard. If you have a lot of guests traveling to attend, you may want to send them a little earlier.

What everyone already mentioned is good! Just here to add a different perspective:

If your wedding is like mine in the sense that it’s a big touristy area and you have a lot of out of town guests, earlier is better. Our coordinator told us to send invitations by June 9th for our wedding on October 9th. Half of our guests are out of town and will have to book flights and a hotel room. Hotels are busy in our area so sooner the better in our case.

We sent ours close to three months (12 weeks) out because of mail being slow and so that we could have an early RSVP deadline. No one has forgotten about our wedding. We had a very good on time response rate considering what I’ve usually heard. We used The Knot’s email reminder tool a few days before the deadline and then for the very few that didn’t respond, we called/texted/emailed and got answers squared away.

6-8 weeks is the general recommendation, but you'll also want to factor in how many guests will be coming in from out of town, whether you sent out save-the-dates so people are already aware, what kind of accommodations are nearby and whether they'll be filled due to local events, etc.

I think June would be fine to send them out. I'd also recommend getting everything printed ahead of time incase there's any issues on that end.
