When to start getting ready for a 12pm first look?

Are you having a professional hair and makeup artist? If so I would ask them how long it takes. If you don’t I would give yourself at least 2 hours.

If a professional is doing it they should be able to tell you how long it takes them. If you are doing your own or having family/friends help I would give yourself a few hours. Maybe 2-3 depending on how confident in your routine you are. You don’t want want to be scrambling trying to finish!

For me, it would be about 10am. 10:30 at the latest

Hi Love! It all depends on whether you are having your hair and makeup professionally done or not. I would reach out to your artist and confirm how long everything will take! I agree with the above comments that two hours should be a good amount of time for you to be ready by 12! Have you decided how you are wearing your hair yet?

I would ask your hair and makeup how long it will take. Then your photographer if you are taking getting ready pictures or having a first look with your dad too!

I started the hair-makeup process (at a professional salon) at 9am for a 1pm first look and that worked out great....and left a little time for a brief lunch. I did have to allow some transit time though ..... to drive 15 minutes from salon to my home.... to get dressed at home / do some photos and then drive maybe 10 minutes to the park for the first look. If you are in the same location throughout, it can be compressed some.
