Where are you getting ready?

Alejandra, on January 5, 2014 at 4:04 PM Posted in Planning 0 41

The venue said I get the bridal suite 1-2 hours before our ceremony starts. It's a destination wedding for us so I will be in a hotel the day before and day of. I'm thinking of the logistics for getting hair and make up done. Should I do those things in the hotel room and just slip into my dress at the bridal suite? I don't have a bridal party so most likely will just be my mom and FH's sisters getting ready with me.

Where are you getting ready? Home, bridal suite or hotel?

I'm getting my hair and make-up done in a salon and then getting dressed at the venue. The salon is normally closed on Sundays, so we get the salon to ourselves while we all get our hair done and the bridal suite was too small for all of us to have hair done in it anyway =)

Our venue doesn't have a place, so we rented an apartment-sized hotel suite on the beach. We'll be doing it all there!

I'm getting ready at the country club where we are having the ceromony and reception. They have a sitting area in each locker room that FH and I can use all day. They also give us a locker for all our belongings which I think is awesome don't have to worry about it.

I'm getting married in vegas so I've booked a MUA that will travel to my hotel room and get ready there. There was no travel fee if hotel is on the strip, so that was a plus, and she also has really good reviews. I also get a bridal room about an hour prior to the ceremony, but Ithink i'll just do everything in the room

Erica, that sounds great! Most of my brides get ready at the venue unless they live very close by.

Our venue has a bridal suite we can have the hour before the ceremony. My MUA is coming to my house in the morning to do everyone's hair and makeup. I'll probably get dressed at the venue.

I booked a double room suite at a hotel near the venue. If the weather conditions are bad; my plan B will be at venue bridal suite.

I'm getting ready at my parent's. It just felt right to wake up in my bedroom...something sentimental about that.

We'll be going to my hair salon to get our hair done and the MUA will go there to do our makeup. Then come back to my parent's house to get ready and the limo will pick us up there and bring us to the church.

Our venue has a bridal suite but I don't have access to it until 1 hour before. I'm hoping to find a salon that will open early enough for us, otherwise we'll probably all get ready at my mother's house then head over to the venue where I'll get dressed

I'm staying in the hotel the night before even though my venue is pretty close. The hair and MUA will come to my hotel room and any bridesmaids that don't stay with me the night before will come there to get ready with me.

We'll do a First Look in a nearby park and then go to the venue.

I'll get freshened up in the venue's bridal suite before the ceremony.

We don't get the venue until 12pm and the wedding is at 4, so all the girls will be getting ready at our house (there are 10 of us to get ready) and then we will go to the venue and get dressed. I've got a hairstylist and MUA coming to the house and will set up a breakfast/mimosa buffet for getting ready.

I found a salon that will let us have a party. So I will be getting my hair and makeup done there, and most of my bridesmaids will be getting their hair done there - maybe I will stay in the hotel the salon is in so they can do their makeup there. They have an area with couches and tables and I will have someone pick up panera and bring bottles of champagne. Then we will go to the reception venue where we have a suite (it's normally a concert venue, so it's normally the green room for the band), where we will get dressed. Then first look at a hotel nearby (they have a cool steampunk lobby), then pics at a state park, the ceremony, then reception. We have a trolley to cart us everywhere.

We all got ready in the bridal suite (2 rooms on each side and huge parlor area that joined the two). The hairstylist and her assistant came at 9:30 am and we had a space for them in the parlor and the MUA came at 9 (she had 11 faces to do) and we had a wet bar area that had good lighting for her to spread out all of her materials and had bar stools for each of us to get made up. It worked out really well.

The DH was convinced initially that he was going to get ready at his apartment...UHHHH NO Sir! Got him a room for Thurs & Friday day for him and his guys to get ready.

I am getting married at a country club and there will be a bridal suite. I am still on the fence on where I'll do hair and make-up. My first plan was to stay the night over at nearby hotel (Saturday traffic on highway I am trying to avoid) and do most of the dressing there and actually put dress on in bridal suite but still no idea what I'mma do.
