Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Where are you going/where did you go for your honeymoon? In what month? Any exciting excursions you're planning to do? I am in the beginning stages of planning the wedding and we are thinking of planning our honeymoon to Hawaii!

Omg that sounds amazing !! What room did you stay in ? We want to do the bungalow over the waters if the hotel has it. How did you book the helicopter ?? Did the travel agent do it ? Also is the waterfall and volcano mud bath far from the hotel ? Was it relaxing ? We want it relaxing but also things to do which seems like is what you guys did. We want to have fun too

We stayed in the swim up suite .. they do have the over water bungalows at the grande but if I’m being completely honest I don’t think they’re worth it .. there’s only about 6 and they’re not private .. they’re right on the beach with everyone else so you can basically see into them.. if you’re looking for more privacy look into the “randevouz” ( spelling ? lol) category .. they’re like little houses almost and have outdoor showers and private plunge pools and are fenced off they’re so nice !! I will say it’s definitely more of a party during the day at sandals but you can find a lot of relaxing on the left side of the beach, and the quite pools.. but the dinner options are all good and a few are super romantic !! The mudbath and volcano is actually an excursion where you do that, and snorkeling with a group.. but it’s sooo fun!! You can hike the pitons without a group and from what I heard that’s so relaxing and the views are incredible ( we didn’t do it but we saw pictures !)

We are going to Florida and spending some time at Disney. We've been married for about 2 months and we're still not sure when we'll get to go on our honeymoon, as we're still saving up for it. Hopefully sometime in the colder months, since we live in the Midwest and it would be nice to be somewhere a bit warmer for a week.

We're keeping it kinda local and honeymooning here in Michigan. He's a plumber and isn't able to get a lot of time off, so we're going to a town here in MI called Frankenmuth. It's a year-round Christmas city, with quaint little shoppes and restaurants. There is also a great nearby outlet mall. Lots of shopping and food is the plan!!

My future husband and I would never be able to afford a huge honeymoon, let alone one overseas. BUT I am from Chicago, IL and I haven't visited in about 3 or 4 years. My fiancé has never been to a big city, so it is the PERFECT place for us to go. Not sure what all we're gonna be able to do. Possibly go to Navy Pier or Double Decker bus tour of the city, for sure visiting my family members. Whatever is available for October next year. I won't have to worry about where to eat because there are SO many amazing places to eat in Chicago, all of which my fiancé has never tried before. I am EXTREMELY excited for that trip.

My FH and I just started thinking about honeymoons...right now our top contender is the Dominican Republic. They seem to have a lot of resorts to choose from and we are wanting to just completely chill and relax. We're two years out though so plenty of time to brainstorm and save up. Hawaii was on my list too!

We just booked our honeymoon to the Dominican Republic!! We’re going to Punta Cana in June. It’s an easy flight from the northeast and we found an amazing all-inclusive for a great price 😊

Omg that's awesome I bet it's going to be amazing. Did you have to wait a while for a good deal and did you do it through a travel agency or just the resort?

We are SO excited!!! I spent a lot of time on resort websites figuring out what the going rates were and then scoured the internet for deals - we ended up booking a package through Costco Travel (hotel, ground transportation, spa credit & excursion credit) for about $600 less than directly booking just the hotel (and I believe what the hotel is currently advertising is a holiday sale price too). I estimate we saved about $1k Smiley smile You can also book flights through Costco but we thankfully have enough airline miles to get us there and back!

We are staying there for our honeymoon also and we actually did book the overwater bungalow. I’m disappointed to hear it’s not worth it! From the pictures it does look as though they aren’t very private. Bummer!

We are going to go to Japan - Tokyo, Osaka, Hakone for our honeymoon! It's going to get pricey no matter how we slice it but we see it as a once in a lifetime thing that if we don't do it now, we never will be able to get the time away again.
