Where are you registered?

Abigail, on November 20, 2019 at 10:12 AM Posted in Registry 0 11
Happy Wednesday! My fiancé and I are planning to create our registry this weekend and don’t really know where to start. I’ve been told we should pick a more affordable store, and a higher-end store. What places are you registered at? If it’s more than one, how are you deciding what comes from where?

We're only registered at Amazon because they have literally EVERYTHING. Plus, we get 20% off anything sold by Amazon after the wedding that isn't purchased off the registry since we're prime members. They're also partnered with The Knot (where we have our wedding website), so for everything purchased off our registry, The Knot will donate a percentage to the charity of our choice through their "The Knot Gifts Back" program Smiley smile

We are only going to register at Target. I figure everyone has access to a Target or can buy online. I plan to have a wide variety of items that range in different prices. We already started one but will probably ad or remove things before we make it public. I was also going to register at Kohl's but found out they no longer offer that service which is disappointing, because I know this sounds weird but I only like buying towels there. So instead my mom bought me the towels I wanted for Christmas. Either way somewhat disappointed about that.

We registered with Amazon and Bed Bath & Beyond. It was great because there were tons of online options but if someone wanted to go to an actual store, they could.

We are currently only registered at Amazon. I don't think another registry is needed since they literally have everything. My mom thinks we should have one brick and mortar store so we're toying with possibly Target but I'm not sure what I'd put there!

Right now Crate & Barrel and Wayfair. We may end up having a third option for a brick and mortar store that's more widespread. Our places were picked because of specific items that we liked there and what prices were like compared to other similar stores. For Crate & Barrel it was flatware and Wayfair a pellet grill. Overall, I wouldn't have more than 2 or 3.

I registered through Zola because guests can see it when they go to RSVP or get other wedding info (it keeps you from the awkwardness of figuring out how to tell guests where your registry is without making it seem like you expect them to buy off of it). They will allow you to put gifts from other stores, to make expensive options group gifts, will match any other retailers prices and will give you 20% off anything not purchased after your wedding.

We registered at Macy’s and Bed Bath & Beyond. (Macy’s for some nice dishes & bedding and other misc stuff, and BBB for cheaper kitchen gadgets — including a few things hat were available at Macy’s but more expensive there!)

Honestly, we shopped to choose. One of our Most Wanted items was new dishes. So, we browsed a few stores looking specifically for dishware, and ultimately both fell in love with one at Macy’s — so we went ahead and Created a registry there . We registered for a lot of stuff you can get more or less anywhere, so focused on the big ticket unique items that you *cant* When making our store selection!

We registered at Walmart and Amazon. Both are stores the majority of our guests are comfortable with purchasing from. Walmart for the older crowd, Amazon for the younger/middle age crowd! As PPs have mentioned, Amazon has basically anything you can think of and most guests have opted for the Amazon registry Smiley smile
