Where did the proposal happen?

Festival of Lights in Battle Creek, Michigan! It was my first time going and I was SO EXCITED. All of my best friends were there, his mom and step dad, all his siblings, my sister and brother in law, and his grandparents ❤

My moms livingroom on a random day. Our kids were part of it, that made it extra special. They each read why they loved me so much and then flipped the paper and it said "will you marry" and he was holding "Me"

Our proposal was crazy lol I was going to do Christmas photos for us and my brother and his girlfriend on a mountain close to where we all live. Little did I know my brother and FH had scouted out the trip a few weeks before we were going to go and carved into a tree “Crystal will you marry me” my whole family was in on the plan and it was amazing

Our dining room. We had gone to look at rings and he was upset after because he claimed that he didn't get approval for financing. He refused to talk to me for hours, then I went into the bathroom to get ready for dinner with his family for his grandmothers 90th bday party and as I came out of the bathroom and down the hall he was on one knee. He told me he couldn't wait to do it and was afraid if he spoke to me he'd give himself away so he had to pretend he was mad...but also he didn't want to wait until he found the right place that he just had to do it then.

He wanted to propose at the New England Aquarium but the place he wanted to do it was roped off. Then he was going to do it at the Skywalk Observatory, but fell on the way so we had to go back to our hotel. He proposed in our hotel room as I got out of the bathroom. I couldn't picture a more us moment than that.

At home surrounded by family

I'm obsessed with airplanes. The proposal was at a lookout point where you can watch planes taking off and landing. It was the middle of winter and freezing and there was no one else up there but I loved being there.

In our bedroom of our old apartment. He had a whole plan to take me to see a Mets game(Our favorite baseball team, and baseball is my favorite sport) and propose there, but he didn't want to wait until baseball season and he just blurted out the question in our room. I thought he was joking at first, but he went into his dresser draw and pulled out the ring box.

At home in our apartment. I was in the kitchen cooking dinner. He had just gotten home from work and said he was going to shower. A few minutes later I hear him talking to our (then 7 month old) son on the baby monitor (that I was listening to in the kitchen) about him putting on a suit and standing with daddy so he can marry mommy. I thought he was messing around but I went to the bedroom where they were and he asked “do you like rings?” Ha ha ha

He works in law enforcement and had been on call on one of the nights we were hanging out. We went to Michael's to get stuff for a project I had been working for. We ended up sitting in the parking lot for hours just talking and it was 2am before i got tired and wanted to go home. But before I left, he said he had something to ask me. He told me I scared the the s*** out of him and he wanted me to be his girlfriend.

Fast forward 5 months later and he took me back to Michael's and we sat in the car for awhile before I asked him why we weren't leaving and he took the ring out and asked me to marry him.

It was Christmas morning in our living room, just the two of us. It was perfect!

The Georgia aquarium right after it had opened. He tricked me because I was pretty sure he was proposing that day but I thought it was going to be during our meet-a-penguin thing. He got me a stuffed dolphin at the gift shop and took it into the bathroom when he went. Pinned the ring to it, handed me the dolphin, and I stood there for 5+ minutes posing for pictures with my dolphin in front of the dolphin tank 😂 I was supposed to see the ring while he was taking pictures and get all excited but I didn’t notice 🤣 so he grabbed it from me and got down on one knee

In my apartment. We were going out for an early birthday celebration since I would be at work in London on my birthday, so he surprised me with a proposal before dinner. Very low key and 100% my style!
