Where did the proposal happen?

He proposed at Disneyland Paris in front of the Tower of Terror, the day after our 5th anniversary! I had always told him that I didn’t want him to propose at Disneyland Anaheim in front of the castle. So he did it at DLP in front of the Tower of Terror to get around my rule 😂 It was the day after our anniversary because I was planning our trip and we were traveling from Florence to Paris on our actual anniversary. He asked me so many times to change our travel day (because that’s when he wanted to propose) and I refused to, so that’s a whoops on my part.

Well he jokingly said it at the bowling alley but officially it was at home.

I popped the question with a watch, I was 3 month pregnant and he gave me this beautiful speech about how he wasn't like others and wouldn't make me go through this alone, we were 19 years old and I was head over heels. Now we are 25 have 2 son's and getting married in September.

We went on a trip to Yellowstone National Park and he proposed at Old Faithful!

He proposed at his house, in his room! I was staying the night after we went to dinner, and I walked into his room to find it clean (which it never is), candles lining his dresser and windowsill, and roses laying on the bed. I thought he was just going all out since we hadn't been on an actual date for awhile 😅 Turned around to find him getting down on one knee!

Online through the writing forum where we first met. I had thought about asking him before we met in person, and then I thought I should do it when I visited. Came back home having done neither of those! So I eventually decided to just go for it, and sent him a message online a week after I came home.

He doesn't yet have anything to show for it...but I have ordered something special which I will give to him at Christmas, when we meet again. I'm really excited, and kinda nervous.

So, what was SUPPOSED to happen... We went on a day trip to Dallas on my 21st birthday, visited the aquarium, and ate at Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck at the top of the reunion tower. He had planned to propose some time that night, but he forgot the ring at home in Oklahoma City! When we got back home I had to go to work, but after my shift he wanted to "go look at Christmas lights" (in the middle of November? Whatever, lol) and he proposed at the spot we first met in person.

We got engaged at Cinderella's Royal Table inside the castle at Disney World! I knew we were getting married this November (by then we had the church, reception, and photographer all booked) but couldn't really say anything beyond very immediate family, since there wasn't a ring yet. But I was just as surprised by the proposal as if I'd had zero idea one would happen soon. We are big Disney nerds, so it was perfect.

Didn't go as planned, but it was sweet all the same he took me to one of our first date spots at this very fancy hotel, and was going to propose by the fireplace - there was a party going on however, and there was no way we were going to get any privacy! he popped the question in my apartment - i honestly love that it happened somewhere quiet and private so i could really soak in the moment!

In the Smokey Mountains!! It was gorgeous, it had snowed so we were coming back down the mountain from playing in it and pulled over to this spot with a gorgeous view and it was just the two of us. So sweet. 🥰

At sunset, on the beach just outside of Galveston, Texas! It was beautiful and so very cute. He took me to comb the beach for sea glass and shark teeth as a ruse (my favorite past-time) and told me we were booking the trip to Texas to see his family for his mother and nephews birthdays (they share one!). The whole family was in on it - and it was amazing.

He proposed when we went to a cabin in PA where our friends were meeting us. He told me we were going to play a gig with our band and then we got to the cabin and the porch was covered in lights and candles and he proposed.
