Where did you get your dress preserved and how much did you spend?

I was thinking I’d get it done at David’s Bridal but I didn’t realize they don’t actually do it themselves, you have to ship it off to some other company?

At this point I’ll probably just take it to the dry cleaner but I just want to see what you all have done and ballpark pricing so when I go to see how much they charge I’ll know if it’s too much to spend or not!

The company that did mine cleaned it and preserved it. I think it was around $350. My mom paid for it as a gift for me. So I’m not completely positive on the price.

I searched for a specialist on https://weddinggownspecialists.com/content/locator then I looked at the reviews of the ones near me.

I'm paid $300 to get mine cleaned and preserved. They used acid-free tissue to protect my gown and sealed it in a premium-quality box with an acid-free acetate window for viewing.

When I took mine to the cleaners after the wedding, I asked about the preservation and they charged $165 and it took about a week. Just having it cleaned was $135. I opted out because I am still debating on having the dress completely changed into a different style so that I can wear it again.

    DB does it for $99

Hey Gen! Are you able to check out any online reviews about David’s Bridal preservation service to see what other brides thought of the service? This might be a good idea as you will be able to get an idea for what their end product looks like.

There is also a great article in the Ideas section that will give you some great tips and advice to follow when looking for a company to preserve your dress - How to Preserve Your Wedding Dress

I had mine cleaned, pressed, and preserved in one of those boxes at a local dry cleaners - Tide Cleaners. I believe it was around $225 and varies depending on your dress style. Mine was very simple (not a ballgown or intricate details).

Most alterations locations also offer it or can give recommendations. I think the place that altered my dress offered it for around the same price range but I wasn't thrilled with their alteration services and they were a farther drive so I just used a regular dry cleaner.
