Where did you get your sign stands

moco2016, on March 14, 2016 at 9:38 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 18

Sorry this is probably a dumb question, we're planning on doing a few of the large signs I.e choose a seat not a side, unplugged ceremony. Where do you get those tall stands/easels to hold the signs. Does the venue supply them, or do you buy them yourself?

Weeeeeelll, it really depends on your venue, so I would ask them. Ours provides one big easel but I had to get a few smaller easels for our "Guestbook," etc. signs. (Which btw you can do relatively inexpensively in sets of 6 on Amazon. It was cheaper than buying them individually at Michael's I found.)

Your venue or rental company might have them. I know Amazon has some fairly inexpensive.

As other posters have said, the venue or rental company may have some. Even your photographer! Mine offered to bring a few that day... She said she has countless and it'll save me a few bucks. Can't hurt to ask your photog

    Michael's. Walmart? Art supplies store?

ETA: forgot to mention that I agree with PP to check with your venue first.

Good question! Something I hadn't even thought of putting on the list.

I would start by asking your venue. I asked our venue. They said they have two.

I emailed my banquet manager and she told me they have them. Check with your venue before making unnecessary purchases.

Art supply stores but they're probably pricey there. I picked mine up from thrift stores.

Ask your photographer to borrow some. FFIL is a professional photographer (not doing our wedding) and is loaning us all the easels and large frames that we need that day.

I've seen them at Michaels! I'm sure Hobby Lobby has them, too. I think Ikea also has something in their kids section.

I've seen them at Ross, Hobby Lobby, TJ maxx, Tuesday Morning, and other stores like that.

I've seen some at Michael's and AC Moore. Depends on what you're looking for, though. FH and I got these larger wedding signs from Etsy, and we're planning on buying wooden floor length easels from AC Moore for $10 each.

I bought super nice iron easels from a bride who was selling all her wedding things. $60 for both. Pretty good since they are normally $75 a piece for iron. Keep an eye out on Facebook yard sale sites too!
