Where did you get your wedding rings?

Jennifer, on January 19, 2017 at 7:43 AM Posted in Planning 0 104

Anyone go to big retail stores like Zales, Kays etc.? I'm trying to find good quality reasonably priced. Yelp is bumming me out because many local stores near me have terrible reviews.

James Allen, it's online with 1 retail/flagship store in NYC. I love my ring!

    Plus there's a 25% off code for Valentine's Day.

Victoria's Jewelers. It's a small, independent shop in Orlando.

IMO, you can't get good quality for cheap. You get what you pay for. When you go to Kay's or Zales you get a cheap price for what they claim is good quality. If you take that piece to any independent jeweler they'll find a million things that Kay's or Zales did to reduce the overall quality of it.

My engagement ring is from Kay's and my band is from Zale's and I love them both. I guess I could have gotten my band from Kay's but they didn't have what I wanted until months after I bought my band from Zale's.

We went to Kay's and tried on rings....and then bought them online at Blue Nile. We saved about $1,000 and the rings came in the mail a few days later.

We went to a small, local jewler in our area and I'm very pleased. It was important to me to get our wedding bands where ever he got my e ring......he apparently went to places like Kays and Zales and he said he felt uncomfortable by the staff there, but that's him. Whatever makes you happy. Smiley smile

My engagement ring was an heirloom, but my wedding band (14k rose gold half-eternity diamond ring) was purchased from Etsy for $250. My FH ring was bought on embr.com (black tungsten with red lining) for $98.

We went to Jared for custom engagement ring and bands for us both. They were very nice, helpful, and helped get us many discounts.

I got mine at Helzberg Diamonds. They were really nice to work with and have a good warranty.

I am not sure as we haven't done that part yet, but from what I read here -Zales is not a good quality at all. I heard that their diamonds keep falling out, and their customer service reps are not very nice about helping with that issue ( again - its based on what a lot of people have said here)

    Good luck!

My engagement ring is vintage from Etsy--I will probably go the same route with the band so that they have a similar patina (and, they seem more affordable than in-person).

My FH and I picked my engagement ring from Sams Club! Then when I was at a local jeweler they checked out my ring and said it was a good buy - 14k white gold 1 ct. round diamonds. FH picked his ring from a local flee market (I know) and my wedding ring from Samsclub.com - 14K gold .25 ct channel set diamond band.

My engagement ring is from Jared. FH's wedding band is from Etsy (has the Rockies mtns engraved on it) and we're unsure where my wedding ring will come from. I have a favorite at ShaneCo, Jared, Ben Bridge and Trice Jewelers.

Amazon for my husband's ring. We went to my jeweler where my engagement ring was purchased.

My husband also hates his ring so I'm glad I only spent $22 on it. I am considering buying him the Silicone rubber wedding band.
