Where did you print invites-staples, office max, etc

JaQuaya , on July 9, 2014 at 5:48 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 19

I'm going to order my invites on etsy and was looking for the cheapest place to get them printed. I thought someone mentioned staples being the cheapest and had a pretty good cardstock to choose from but I can't remember. Also, if you go to any of these printing places, can you bring your own paper or do you have to use theirs?

Thanks WW

FedEx/Kinkos will allow you to bring your own paper. (They do have a clause in the paperwork that says they are not responsible for the cost of the paper if the paper gets damaged, etc.)

I used Vistaprint. They are quick with shipping and you can pick from a couple different paper styles.

I was going to use Staples, but then my boss told me to save some money and print them at work for free Smiley smile

I didn't look at any other options besides Staples, but they seemed very reasonable. I had an idea too of getting multiple "info" sheets per page (like having two invites on a legal sized sheet, or a few RSVP cards per page), and I figured out for 50 invitations it was going to be less than $15,

Vistaprint! They always have coupons and groupons and promo codes floating around, so I got so many save the date magnets for soooo cheap. If you are concerned about paper, they have a wedding kit they can send you for free that has all the papers they carry, and a couple examples.

I went into Office Depot the other day to inquire about this. You can bring your own paper, and it is $0.59/page to print.

My house! I got invites from Michael's and used a 50% off coupon so they were cheap and we printed everything ourselves.

I used vistaprint.com and 123print.com but none of them allow you to use your own paper.

We used Vistaprint. Their linen paper was really nice, but we ended up using their recycled matte cardstock because linen wasn't an option for postcards (bought postcards because they were cheaper than invitations). I'm really happy with how they turned out!

Also, a word of advice-- the VP Groupons are rarely worth buying because if you use a Groupon, you can't take advantage of any of the sales VP is offering. I ended up spending MORE in total for my invitations using my Groupon than if I would have just bought the invitations outright. So that's something to consider before you buy a Groupon. Just a PSA. =)

I used catprint for my invitations. They came out lovely!!!! It was going to cost the same to buy the paper and take it to staples or office max. It was totally worth it, because they cut them precisely as well. Staples and office max use a regular paper trimmer, not laser cut, and they charge for that as well.....

I bought the paper at Michaels with my 40% off coupon LOL but I got them printed at work because my boss said it was okay.

I suggest going to Vistaprint! They`re quick and do a really really good job!

We used Vistaprint for our invitations and were extremely pleased with the final product - it was very easy to upload the PDF of the invitations we had designed and I was happy with the weight/texture of their linen finish paper. They always seem to have some kind of sale going on, if you Google "Vistaprint coupon code" you can likely find a deal or if you sign up for their mailing list you will be notified of current sale offers.
