Where did your proposal happen?

At home the day after Christmas when we were finally done with all the festivities with our families. I was SO surprised.

We were walking to the Homecoming football game at the college we met. On our way to the stadium, we started walking by Theta Pond, which is one of my favorite places on campus. We stopped because “he had something in his boots”, silly me thought it was a flask. I realized where we had stopped, which was the exact same spot he had asked me to be his girlfriend 5 years earlier. He got down on one knee and said “In this spot five years ago, I asked you to be my girlfriend and this time in asking you to be my Wife.”

For us, there was no proposal. We've been together for quite a long time, have an established home and two daughters, and above all, immense love for one another. We just decided it was right to get married.

He proposed in our kitchen while I was cooking lol not the most romantic but it was adorable.

We were in Atlanta (where I am from) visiting my sisters and mom. We had his daughters (my now step-daughters) with us too. The last day we were there we decided (well he had planned it, lol!) to go hiking up this mountain that I LOVE that overlooks some of the city. We were at the top, looking over, I turned around and he was down on one knee. It was perfect!

He proposed during my 27th birthday dinner at TP Crockmiers. The waiter brought out a cake that read Will You Marry Me and I instantly cried while my family stood around taking pictures and cheering.

He proposed at our favorite winery near my favorite section.

It was at a local park in the middle of Downtown. It was definitely a gorgeous day. Not really sentimental, but beautiful it was.

He and his parents invited me to go on a Mexican Cruise with them as a graduation gift for me and FH. It was my first REAL cruise (outside of the military) and he ended up proposing to me on the top deck after we had dinner on Captain's Night.

In December of 2018, I came across a ring that I really liked and I jokingly showed it to him. He asked me if I actually liked it because it's not a diamond and I told him that I didn't want a traditional diamond ring. I thought that that was the end of it, but he actually ordered the next day. Then, on Christmas, he asked my dad for his permission when I was in another room. It took until February for the ring to come in and then he hid it in his garage until June when we went on vacation with my family. My family helped to set it up, we walked down to the pier in Myrtle Beach and went to the top of the dock. My family pretend to take family pictures but he got down on one knee and propsed in front of everyone. People around us started clapping lol It turned out that EVERYONE knew (except me), including my sister's co-workers, who kept asking her when it was finally going to happen lol 💕

He proposed on a cruise in October on formal night. Outside overlooking the water.

We went for a 8 mile backpacking trip at the top as I was looking at this lake he dropped to one knee, the most romantic thing ever!

We never did a formal proposal. At the time we had just celebrated our 9 year anniversary together, we were at bowling when his friends were giving him crap about when we are getting married so they could plan a bachelor party. He said oh sometime next year, I gave him a look like oh that's news to me lol. When we got home I asked him if he was serious and he said yes unless you want to wait another 9 years lol. We got strait to planning the next day.

The proposal was a complete surprise! I had the day off because it was my birthday. I had visited him at work for lunch and when I left him to go home he got the call that the ring was in. He said he'd be late coming home he had some errands to run. So went to his grandparents to take care of his cat. When finally comes to meet me at his grandparents he was really anxious to get home. I made dinner and when we were done. He told me to close my eyes he had a surprise. And when he told me to open my eyes he popped the question. It was wonderful! It was just us no one else. I couldn't have asked for a better proposal!!! 💚😊💚

FH proposed to me in New Orleans. We had decided to go there for a short, weekend trip. The night we arrived, we went to a jazz club. He had coordinated with the band playing and when they went on their first break, he went up to piano and started playing a song for me. Then he popped the question!

Hello, I am Georgia. The proposal happened in bed, he knows I am hestintian to move forward, so he stuck a ring on my finger and said we are engaged fiancees now, no take backs.

The proposal happened at our home!

I proposed to him online (long distance relationship). I'd been thinking about it before we met, and wondered if I should do it on my visit but I didn't. A week after I'd been back, I finally took the plunge. I sent him a message early in my morning (I'm 7-8 hours ahead of him), so I could wake up to the answer. I sent him a quote I'd found and used that as my jump off point. I told him I wasn't asking for us to do anything straight away or file for visas or anything; everything would remain the same. I just wanted to show my commitment to our relationship and spending the rest of my life with him. I told him to take his time before replying, as I knew he'd need to process it. He said he'd have an answer by the end of the weekend (I proposed on that friday), and I knew he'd say yes.
