Where do bridesmaids get ready?

Getting ready together is what I’m really looking forward to. I say you guys should all go to a salon. Brings some light snacks and drinks then you guys can all get dressed after. I’d have them all bring their dress where you will be getting changed then you guys can change together and head to the ceremony. If it’s in a church do they have a room there where you could get dressed? You could have a family member drop of your dress along with theirs while you’re getting ready then you could head right to the church after.

One of my bridemsaids has been in two other weddings I was surprised to learn I’m the first bride she is getting ready with. So I guess people do also have their bridesmaids get ready in their own. I just think it’s more fun to have everyone around.

Hi Melissa, thank you so much for your response. We are having ceremony and reception at our hall, so we will be doing a first look prior to heading to the ceremony at a nearby garden. I just called my local salon she said we can have the salon shut down they will provide mimosa and bagels and we can have a little pre party there! How fab is that!!! So I think maybe we will go in two cars to the salon, go to my house to change and snap some pics then head to the garden. Do you think this sounds good? Majority of the time as a bridesmaid the brides have had me go to their house and change into our dresses. Have you decided what you’re doing yet?

Every wedding I've been in we've gotten ready together, even with 8 girls (did this for a wedding last fall). I thought half the fun was all being together. For mine the hair and MUA are coming to us and we will all get ready in my cottage at the Inn we are getting married at. I think the salon sounds great! I know a good friend of mine did that with her bridesmaids and they had a blast.

It's whatever you want! I have 9 bridesmaids, 3 moms, and me getting ready. We need to be ready by 3 PM so we are heading to our bridal suite at 10 AM for hair & makeup & getting dressed & lunch.

We have a hair stylist and her assistant coming to meet us at the church where we will get ready. It was easier this way and we will all be together. Some of my bridesmaids live out of state so it was really important to me to spend as much time with them as possible.

Whatever is easiest for you! My 8 bridesmaids, me and 3 moms are getting ready at the venue since they allow us to be there at 8 AM. I'm also paying for HMU, so it's easier for someone to travel to us.

I think you're going to want to have your bridesmaids with you at the start of the day, that's kind of the whole point of having bridesmaids! To be there with you the whole day and enjoy those special moments with you, have breakfast together, keep you calm, make sure you've packed everything you needed to pack, enjoy the pampering together, etc...

Every time I've been a bridesmaid, and for my own wedding, we've all gotten ready together in the hotel suite or the bridal suite at the venue, and hair and makeup traveled to that location. Personally I think it's better to have hair and makeup come to you, but if you think it will be easier to go to your salon and they can accommodate all of you, that's fine too. But def get ready with your girls either way!

Haven't decided about the hair and makeup but we are all getting that done before arriving at the venue at 3pm to get dressed and take pictures. My venue includes a ton for the bride and bms to get ready, and it's only 5 of us in all. My mom, grandma, and daughter will be with me too, so chaos as usual lol. I plan on doing as much as possible before we get to the venue to get dressed
