Where to buy linen tablecloths?

MrsMorgan2018, on February 26, 2017 at 6:46 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14

Hi all,

I am looking for a place where I can buy 120 inch round tablecloths. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much!

I've heard that buying can often be a lot more work because you have to iron them all, keep them wrinkle free in storage and then wash to resell.

Renting isn't a bad option and you have a bit of time.

Thanks Christy! I am all for renting as well. I went to my caterer today and she said it would be 16.00 each if we use theirs but she told me to look online to see if I can find them cheaper to save money. They will take care of the ironing and set up for me Smiley smile.

Piggybacking on this question... how do I know what type to buy? I only see polyester online. What does that look like in person?

@Ellen that is all I see as well. I think polyester is the standard tablecloth that you would see at a banquet hall or wedding. But if anyone knows any different, correct me if I'm wrong Smiley smile

I bought them from Amazon for my engagement party and since I'm a prime member they came in two days free shipping. They worked out perfectly!

I wouldn't buy them, honestly. They're a giant pain to steam, transport, wash, steam, sell and ship. It's totally not worth it.

And you want all polyester; while we wouldn't necessarily want to wear it? Dealing with poly cotton is even worse.

Thanks Natalie! I am a prime member too! Do you have the link of the ones that you bought?

MrsMorgan2018 you are right, most venues offer polyester if they offer linens. At least that is what they offer for free.

@EllenM, if you are concerned about how they may look in person I'd either order one to get a feel for it before you order a bunch or see if the website offers samples. Places like cvlinens.com allow you to request swatches from them. I don't remember what I paid for my swatches but I think it was just a few bucks. I'm on the hunt for linens as well and I think I am going to order maybe a polyester and a satin in my color to set up a mock table and see what looks best.

Thanks @Celia Milton. I think I might just let the caterer take care of it. They are charging $16.00 each for theirs and she said that I may find them cheaper online to save money. But, $16 is the cheapest that I have seen for the size and the color that I need.

I just bought mine at linentablecloths.com for 120" rounds for 7.00 each. My DOC is taking care of all the steaming so we don't have to stress it. I think total for 12 120", 4 banquet and 120 linen napkins were $120. Because our caterer doesn't off them, it would have been $400 to rent

Thanks, all! Very good advice. I'm going to visit a few rental places first. I'm hoping they offer more than what they showcase on their websites.
