Where to buy sand?

Allison, on January 20, 2012 at 7:25 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13

I've looked everywhere for sand for the ceremony and I can't find anything! :-( Either its too expensive or not the right colors! Our colors are Malibu blue (from DB) and Fuchsia. I know I can order them from DB but its $5 for sand and another $10 for shipping - I just don't see spending $20 on sand! Smiley sad Michaels has it for $3.99 and the pink is pretty close but the only blue I could find is more of a teal/green blue not the bright blue like our color. Any suggestions??

This is gonna sound silly but check your local pet shops. Call around first but some places carry sand for reptillian tanks and depending on how much you need, you might be able to get a deal however I am not sure about the malibu blue. Sorry, that's all I got.

Ok I just called my sis and asked her, because her colors were white, silver and pool from DB. She purchased her bright blue sand from Michael's Craft Store.

Here's a pic pf the sand ceremony

Hmm... the blue at michaels here always looks too green to me... maybe its because I've never actually seen it next to my color - I'll have to take a ribbon to the store with me next time I go! I really don't know why I'm stressing on the colors matching so well - whos gonna notice anyways but me right? :-/
