Where to buy wedding supplies and linen

T, on September 4, 2014 at 6:55 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 13

Where to buy wedding linen, such as rosette tablecloths, chair covers and vases? I live in Louisiana. Everyone keeps telling me to go to Houston to shop for my wedding supplies, but I the prices on efavormart and cvlinens don't appear to be too bad. Have any of you ladies shopped in Houston and found better prices? My colors are tiffany and grey. Thanks for your help.

Have you heard of Alibaba.com or AliExpress.com? These websites are the worlds largest trading network for global suppliers - in other words, manufacturers and wholesalers sell through these sites. If you have a large wedding, needing 50+ linens, you may find they are the cheapest, because they can actually manufacture to order.

You may be put off by the fact that most of the manufacturers are in China, but this trade network is 100% above board - in fact, they hold your payment in escrow until the goods are delivered, and you confirm receipt ...meaning, the vendor doesn't physically get paid till you receive your goods and confirm it.

I found picture frames that I want to use for table numbers for $1.20/ea., compared to $3-4 for the exact same frame on wedding vendor websites! I've ordered other items from them, including hard-to-find linen clothing and have had zero problems with the order. Each vendor also has a chat or email option, and they respond very promptly to inquiries. Very professional.

I did a super-quick check, and a white tablecloth on Alibaba.com is $5/ea. for a 108" round, minimum order quantity of 50 pieces. 108" white tablecloth on TableclothsFactory.com is $9.18/ea.

I don't know if it's worth the hassle for you, or how tight your budget is, but that's a 'thinking out of the box' option!

For vases and decor, try Save-On-Crafts.com... they have TONS of amazing stuff, and really great prices compared to commercial shops like Michaels and ACMoore crafts.

I bought linens from CV Linens and they were a great quality. I wouldn't buy anything off Alibaba or AliExpress because I've heard a ton of horrible things. Also, your items come from China so quality can be a big issue. CV Linens is based in Austin.

I bought all our linens off linentablecloth.com for $100 cheaper than it was to rent them.

    I bought mine from Smartyhadaparty.com

The tablecloths are very cheap and look like they are pretty good quality. The reviews are good, and I didn't see any bad reviews online. I just ordered them, and haven't gotten them in yet so I will have to let you know how they are.

Our event manager told us cvlinens was good. I've looked at their website and they seem pretty inexpensive. I'm glad to know they are pretty good quality because thats what I am looking at.

Hi T. I graduated from LSU and live in Houston (born and raised).

I went online because stores weren't cheaper. I bought my linens, plates, flatware, glasses, and such at www.smartyhadaparty.com.
