Where to buy white decorative sand?

Eva, on March 10, 2018 at 7:56 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6

There are so many places selling white sand, but a lot is not very pure, or it is super expensive!

I need it to fill glass containers for my centerpieces (Beach themed wedding!)

Funnily enough, the dollar tree sells a 1.1 pound of sand for $1 each, but I don't want to have to open 25+ small bags of sand at the venue during set up.....

Anyone buy nice white sand in bulk for a good deal?

Thank you!

Smiley heart Eva

Open the bags, pour the sand into cheap plastic pitchers with a spout and a lid. Easy peasy.

Check oriental trading. We buy our sand art sand from them and the white is white but we buy a variety pack not sure if they sell white by itself

I am also doing a beach themed wedding. I got my sand at the beach, as well as a ton of shells. I wanted it to be authentic, bonus...it was free.

I've got it stored in several 16 oz. plastic soda bottles.

Did the sand come out white enough? I'm in San Diego, but I'm worried that lot of the sand has the black streaks and darker flakes in it...

    Eva,

I got my sand at Cocoa Beach, FL. It's white, but has alot of black specks. I don't mind, because its from a real beach ( and it's free - lol )

I was in Santa Monica, CA last week & the sand there was very tan/brown. Never really though about the color variations of sandy beaches.
