Where to find a cheap vintage mirror for a welcome sign?

Amanda, on November 5, 2017 at 7:08 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 22

I'm wanting to make a welcome sign with mirror just like the one pictured. However, everywhere I find them is crazy expensive. Does anyone know where to find something similar? It doesn't have to be the nicest it's only for the day. Thanks y'all!

I would look at good will or salvation army. You might have to paint it but you might be able to find a mirror with that detail on it

If you can find a frame you like, you can always spray paint a regular piece of glass with mirror spray paint.

They have some cute random mirrors at places like Kohls, Home Goods, Marshalls, etc. Try those!

Also, remember you can get a mirror cut to fit any frame.

EBay... And HomeGoods too. I bought vintage mirror trays from eBay, and a new mirror that looks vintage from HomeGoods.

You could check thrift shops or if you have a Ross in your area you can check there also. My Ross has big mirrors for around $40 and you could spray paint them and distress them yourself to get the look you want.

Antique stores often sell the frames for cheap and you buy the glass (also cheap).

We looked in antique shops, Goodwill, and Habitat for Humanity retail stores. We needed up finding it at a HFH store for $8!
