Are there farms near you? I would maybe start there.

I'd search straw bales, not hay bales. "Renting" them will be hard, I'm not sure anyone would have a use for them after unless they were also a bride. They are also SUPER pokey so I'd plan on blankets on top of them. It depends on your area, you could call a local feed store to see. I'd anticipate anywhere from $4-$10 per bale depending on where you are.

Find a farm store or a feed store near you. You can get the smaller square bales(straw would probably be best)for $10-$15 probably. You could donate them to a farm or an animal rescue center for the animals bedding.

I don't think renting them is a thing and I agree with FutureMrsD. Hay is more expensive and used for feed for animals. Straw is cheaper. Honestly I would check now as it is primetime for cutting and throughout the summer also. Depending on your state go on fb and look up hay and straw buy/sell groups. Or you can wait til next late spring before your wedding. As long as you have a dry space to store them you should be fine! Don't go to tractor supply either, it's overpriced for the convenience.

I don't think you will be able to rent, besides Facebook check Craiglist or contact your local county extension office. They may be able to put you in touch with a local farmer that will allow you to pick up the straw just a bit before the wedding. Definitely do straw over hay, as it will be much softer unless you get a fine grass hay.
