Where to find tea length paper?

christina, on August 3, 2011 at 10:53 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10

Hi! I'm looking to print my menu programs myself, and would love a tea length size (9.25 X 4 inches). I'm having trouble finding paper that size to print them on. Does anyone know an online store who sells that specific size? I'm finding sites that sell paper, but don't have tea length paper. OR do you know if I could take my file (it's in Word) to Staples and have them print and cut them?

Thank you SO MUCH for any advice!

Try searching "rack card paper" instead. It's 9 x 4.

By the way, you can design your own and have Vistaprint print them for you. They do 50 for free if you go here:

Carlson Craft sells DIY papers in tea length sizes for as low as $10 for 25 pieces. You can find a dealer in your area at www.carlsoncraft.com, or I would be happy to assist you through my dealer website.

But, yes, you can also have your items printed and cut at any copy center or printing company. I recommend asking them about their paper choices, though, because not all companies allow you to bring in your own paper stocks.

As far as paper technically is measured, you won't find a 'tea' length. It's measured in A0, A2, A3.... up to A8. The closest would be an A5 which is 8.3 x 5.8 -basically half a letter size. Or go legal size and cut it in half. That might be better. If you want nice paper, try www.paperpresentation.com They have an excellent selection of paper in tons of colors and finishes and the prices are fantastic! If you're printing them on your own printer, make sure your printer can handle the paper. Some won't be able to, the texture/thickness/thinness might not work.

@Erin, technically Tea Length is 4x9.25 and it does exist, it is just considered a specialty item, not a "standard" Announcement size, which is the A-# sizing system you are referring to. There are also #-Bar sizing systems for Baronial Announcements. The difference between Baronials and Announcements is the flap on the envelope, and how the envelopes are constructed. Announcements have square flaps, Baronials have pointed ones. These sizing systems are used to match envelopes to their standard cards.

But, you are right that Paperpresentation is a good resource, the site also has them at the following link:

On Vistaprint, search "menu cards" instead. Smiley smile
