I am getting married at the hanover manor in east Hanover, NJ. It's an amazing value.

Check out local VFWs and fire halls. That's going to be your best bet in New Jersey. You'll likely still have trouble sticking to that budget with that many guests. Don't even bother with traditional venues on weekends, they'll all be out of budget and/or will have a minimum that exceeds your budget.

Also, keep in mind that vendors will likely not lock in prices four years in advance. So plan on paying 5-10% more than the prices that are currently listed.

    Hi Migdalia!

Would you be open to an outdoor venue for your ceremony?

A cost effective option I have seen is couples getting married in local natural parks/public nature areas/parks/beaches. That way, the permit fee is usually a set cost (depending where you are, checking with the city/state place of permits) and all you have to worry about is chair rentals. You can bring all of your music, officiant, and other details with you.

Where in NJ are you located?

Where are you located? North or south?

If south then Eastlyn golf course is nice and we were quoted $10,000 for 100 guests

If you're up north, its unfortunately way more expensive but the Old Mill Inn in Basking Ridge is nice and I forget our quote but it was definitely reasonable.

Depending on where you’re located but I’m located in north jersey and I’m getting married at SkyView golf club and everything including my dress, venue, and everything in between is just going to be at 20k. However, you can always try smaller banquet halls, VFW’s, Firehouse halls(which some can be gorgeous) some parks in jersey (some may say no alcohol allowed) and or any fair grounds! Usually they have conservatories, you just have too supply silverware, linens, hot trays, and everything else, but those can be more cost effective! Good luck In your search!

Keep in mind, too, that many venues may not even be ready to book for 2022. Depending on the month you are choosing, that is 3-4 years from now and I can't imagine a venue willing to book a date this early without the ability to increase their pricing.

Even the venue my daughter chose reserved the right to raise food pricing a maximum of 5% over 2017 pricing as we booked over a year in advance (17 months ahead).

There are definitely options in NJ, but like previous people have said, it would help to know if you were looking in northern, southern or central Jersey.

Also, if you are on Facebook there’s an amazing group on there run by NJ Bride Magazine called “NJ Bride Private Group”.

Start looking at your local, county, and state parks. Many of them may have beautiful buildings that are rented out for functions. Don’t believe it’s either $$ catering hall or firehouse Halls. There’s plenty in between.

Hey girl! They have raised their prices since I got married! I only paid 120-125 a guest and I had Just at their minimum per head count. I also went with a very cheap wedding dress (im The type of person who believes I’m wearing it once and never again so why am I paying a lot of money) I also went with their approved vendors as well as I’m not a flower person (again I’m the type of person why would I pay for flowers for one day) so I went to a vendor who was very reasonable in their pricing. The only thing I really splurged on was the photographer and my wedding cake. I really wanted my cake personalized lol. After all set and done with the wedding I was about 23,000k. Also my family friend and reverend married us and he was little to no money. I went a little over budget with with some things after all set and done. But it was worth the 3k over
