Where to get ready? covid edition

Honestly, I would talk to the hotel to see if they have any restrictions regarding this. I will say that for our wedding my husband and his side got ready in a hotel room. There were a total of 8 of them getting ready plus a photographer so a total of 9 men in one hotel room and in some of the photos they look like they were standing almost on top of each other. If I had known it was going to be so cramped I would've suggested an alternative like having them get ready in the Airbnb that my brother-in-law rented for the weekend.

Like Veronica mentioned, speak with the hotel and run it by them. If it is an issue, then will there be more than just one room booked? Half could get ready in one room, and the other get ready in the other?

Yeah I'll just reach out to them. that's a good idea but I kinda wanted us to be together. If anything we could probably get ready in my apartment its 35 min away from the venue. not ideal but it's an option.

I get that. I'd want everyone to be together too. The apartment is a good back-up plan though!

I'm pretty sure that is possible, I haven't seen too many restrictions regarding hotels.

Any restrictions should be the same as your state indoor gathering limit. In MA, it’s 10 people currently.

I got ready at the hotel but it was just two of us, and they were quite strict about letting people in...

I want to think that's still possible. maybe also consider an airbnb nearby just in case?

We had 5 people (including me) getting HMUP done professionally and 3 people not getting it professionally done in the hotel room. I just had each person come to get their HMUP done one at a time and then come back when I was done. So that way we had everyone in their robe come in to take pictures, have some champagne but their hair and makeup was already done. Our room was big enough that we could all be socially distant when we had our mask off to drink.
The hotel didn’t give us any trouble, they don’t go and check everyone’s room to see how many people are inside so I don’t see how they would know you have more than 2 people in a room?

I made a similar post about a week ago and got some great suggestions. I’ve decided to go with the suggestions of having everyone come by appointment to get hair and makeup done so there’s never overcrowding of people and when they are done finish getting ready at home and all meet at the venue later.

That's good it worked out! well the hotel is a boutique hotel so there's not a lot of people walking in and out.

Ok ok. yeah if the hotel doesn't work out then we'll probably get ready in my apartment and then drive out together to the venue.
