Where to get things printed?

Alexis, on April 12, 2022 at 10:20 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 7

I am DIYing a lot of my wedding and having a lot of fun with it! However, I would like some things (like the wedding programs) to be printed on a more reliable printer than my own. There are so many online and chain store options to choose from. What are some suggestions of places that didn't overcharge (some places are charging as much to print as it would be to just buy and customize what I want, which is insane!) and your stuff came out great. I had some labels printed out through vistaprint, but I wasn't very impressed with them since they look a little grainy, but if you have used vistaprint for other things and it turned out nice, let me know! Thanks in advance!

I went to my local printer shop and they did a great job. it was also a way of me supporting small businesses - it might be more expensive that way but you probably would get a more personal touch too

I’m ordering all my signs from Minted - they all match and are fully customizable and match my invitations and wedding website. The printing is high quality, you can also get them foil pressed.

Try Office Depot. Trust me! They did Bachelorette flyers for me and they came out REALLY nice and it was inexpensive!

I’m using Shutterfly for invitations and they also have a nice selection of programs and anything else you may need. Trying to keep things simple

Try searching local printing companies online! We printed all of our invites, rsvps, signage… for $50 as a guest count of 100 through a local printer. They worked with us on Paper thickness, matte/gloss, and sizing.

We designed our own prints of everything. If you’re also doing the designs, make sure you use high quality vectors for decor in your prints otherwise it will look fuzzy no matter who prints it! 😊

Vistaprint is so hit and miss and depends on the paper/cardstock you're using! I use them for business cards, postcards, and posters sometimes, but also keep in mind if you're not happy with their quality you can always contact customer service to let them know it was grainy, splotchy, or not crisp (I've done this several times and they've sent me the order again and it comes out better)!

I printed some items through Vistaprint, but for my actual invitations, I printed out pieces from Catprint (they have a lot more paper options!) and they're fantastic. You can get a hard copy proof sent to you for free before they complete the order so you can review it before the whole order gets printed.
