Where to Get Wood Frame to Hang Place Cards

Private User, on February 26, 2015 at 2:01 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 7

Hello! My fiance and I are going for rustic elegance with our wedding decor. We are interested in a large wooden frame with twine/string to clip our wedding place cards on. I don't know where to find one though. It's possible I'm using the wrong name/search terms.

Does anyone know where I could get a wooden frame like the one in the attached picture? I'd prefer not to DIY, so I'd prefer to buy it from a website like etsy.

I'm pretty sure that is just a large picture frame. I'd look for that

I'm not entirely sure what to say. You know that's literally four pieces of wood nailed together right?

Buy four pieces of wood, and either nail, glue, or staple them together.

I agree. Two 8 foot 2x4s, a saw and about 8 screws. Though it probably needs a brace or support of some kind. Or a couple weights in the lower inside corners - covered by flowers like your picture. Probably the easiest task you'd have for the wedding. Of course, I mean easiest task for your FH.

It was likely made for that purpose. Grab some planks and nails and giver.

A pre-made frame of that size will likely be a bit pricey.

You can buy a couple of lengths of trim pieces at a hardware store (Lowe's or Home Depot) for a lot less and make it yourself. You will also need a way to secure it to the table so that it does not fall over.
