Where to print my pics?

The New Mrs Seedes, on September 4, 2011 at 10:55 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 15

So I have tons and I mean tons of pictures I want to print from the wedding and honeymoon. Snapfish has a deal that is a penny a print but in the end they hit you with a $20.95 processing fee. Ouch!

I know there was another website a few weeks back that I believe was 100 pics (had to be 100 exactly) for free. Anyone remember the website? I just searched for it and came up empty handed.

Also, is there a public website that I may post all my wedding pics to that my guests may go look at them and if they choose print copies of the pics at their own cost? I have already had a few people say "O I want that picture, make me a print will you?" Well, that adds up quickly.

It was a deal on snapfish a few weeks back. We ordered a bunch from there then, and they came out OK. My photographer recommended mpix.com for prints. They are a little more expensive, but the quality is better.

We printed them for cheap 100 for a Dollar, and now that we know which ones we want we are ordering them from mpix.

But I am not familiar with snapfish, beyond that, but I think your guests maybe able to print pictures they like there from you, but I am not sure. Maybe if you set up an account just for your wedding pictures, then you can give them the login-password and they can go in themselves.

    Edit: sorry double post.

CVS sometimes does a sale where you buy 60 prints, and you get 20 free. But the sale is so varied and not predictable. And depending on which store you go to, some employees know what they are doing and others don't.

I think at one point, flinkr.com was giving 50 prints away for free to new users who sign up. Not sure if that's still going on or not though. Look around for photo-sharing websites and see if any are offering any promotions for new users. Smiley smile

I would definitely recommend Walgreens. Always has great deal on prints, I've printed sooo many from them!

Snapfish lets you share all your uploaded pics. It's the best way to do it for sure. They remain private, password protected and by email invitation only if you want, and they can order prints and all the other cool snapfish stuff with your pics on it. check this page out for them: http://www.snapfish.com/snapfish/fe/l=en_US/p/info/PhotoSharing

Thanks everyone! Right now I am on snapfish. I'll check it out as a photosharing site as well.

As far as printing pics...it is my 4x6 prints that I am looking to print for now. I want to see the them and then choose what I want enlarged. We are talking over 800 pictures that I'd like to print. Lol so I don't want to pay $0.30 a print. That adds up quickly.

This is just my opinion ... I've always used Snapfish though, so if you're not into it that's cool. But you can always use the 500 penny prints promo for this, and if you have 800, you can always just open a second account and get the rest printed for a penny then too. either way, that's just 8.00, plus shipping. I would say that's a good price to just check them out, and chances are they'll be just fine for an album I would think. IDK, that's just my opinion and what I would do, I think it's a reasonable cost, and I've never had bad quality photos that's for sure.

I love everything I've gotten from shutterfly.com, but I've never done anything larger than 4x6

I uploaded my professional pictures to Photobucket.com because my friends and families could download the high resolution photos vs the web resolution ones you get from sites like Snapfish and Shutterfly photo sharing. Just as an fyi...if you do your vendor reviews you can get a 20-pg album free through lulu.com. I have mine designed but haven't ordered it yet, it may be poor quality...but it's free Smiley winking

Mpix.com. Best prints you will get as a consumer hands down.

If you have a Costco membership, their photo department does an excellent job. They often have pro photographers that use them to print....and if you're not happy, they'll redo them until its right.
