Where to put website password?

isabel1115, on April 23, 2019 at 3:52 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

For those who are password protecting their wedding websites, where on the invitation did you put your password? I've heard not to put the website on the invitation but rather an enclosure. I wanted to simplify things and do a one page invitation and put the url there anyways but it seems like putting the password on there doesn't look nice. Did you guys put it on the back of the invitation, an enclosure or something else?

I would do a details card that directs to the website and has the password. Our website isn’t password protected, but we included it on our rsvp card using “please rsvp online at xxxx”

We included a card with our invite that directed our guests to our website to RSVP for our wedding. We included the password on that enclosure.

You could also just include a little business card that says... "Please visit our website at XXXX password 1234."

I think this another one of those "know your audience" cases

We put our password right on our one page invites, but everyone we are inviting wont bat an eyelash at it. So consider your guests and how they would react, and go from there

I sent my website PW when Save the Dates went out. What I did was just place a small piece of paper with the PW in the envelope with the save the date.

This is our plan too. But when people receive the invitation, I don't expect them to whip out the Save the Date and review the password so debating if I need to put it on the invitation again. Our guests wouldn't judge (and if they did, I wouldn't care) about the PW being on there. I'm just debating if its an eyesore or not. I guess an extra sheet of paper won't kill us...lol.
