Where will your engagement ring be during the ceremony?

Don't get caught unprepared! There are a few things many couples forget to consider when planning their ceremony, and we want to help make sure they don't slip past you! If you wear an engagement ring, where will it be during the ceremony? Will you want your finger bare when your wedding ring goes...

The next question is about keeping you looking picture perfect throughout the ceremony.

My engagement ring was was on the right hand finger instead of the left so that my husband could put my wedding band on the bare left hand finger and then after the ceremony I moved my engagement ring from right hand to on top of the wedding band on the left hand.

I don't plan on wearing any rings while I walk down the aisle. I plan to ask my Man of Honor to hold on to my engagement ring and second wedding band (they're stackable and will "sandwich" my engagement ring) in a little baggy during the ceremony. Prior to pictures during the cocktail hour, I'll make sure I have them all on.

This is definitely something I haven't even considered. I just assumed that it stayed on your finger as usual. Like others have said, I'm sure I will just keep it on my ring finger, and then switch the order of the rings after the ceremony.

I’m keeping mine on like normal. I’m wearing my grandma’s wedding rings on my right hand to honor my grandpa.

I never leave the house without my engagement ring. I would hate to not wear it. I'll either switch it to the other hand right before I walk down the aisle, or have FH just put the wedding band over the e-ring and switch it later.

It'll be on my left hand. I'll switch the order after the ceremony.

In the best man's pocket, as it is soldered to the wedding band!

I've already decided that my wedding band will actually be worn on the outside with my engagement ring on the inside so the engagement ring will be where it always is at the ceremony. I know most people wear it the other way around but my jeweler told us that while that's an old Eastern European tradition to wear the wedding band closest to your heart, the eternity band actually looks better on the outside as it gets more light bouncing off the diamonds. I was playing with the look last night and I like the way it looks better too. And besides, I'm not Eastern European or traditional....

My engagement ring was on my right hand during the ceremony. My ring finger felt so naked!

Mine looks so pretty together, so I intend on wearing them together. I didn't even think people separated their engagement ring and their wedding band. My engagement ring is a en emerald cut, with a halo, and my wedding band, is emerald cut baguettes diamonds, going the alternating way, I can't wait to wear them together.

Mine was sitting in my dad's car. I didn't have a great plan for where to leave it, and I didn't want it on my hands during the ceremony. My dad drive me to the church and I just popped it off and left it in the car until I got back there after my ceremony was over and we were on our way to the cocktail hour

Same here! I want the most expensive piece of jewelry closest to me and protected by my wedding band. Plus, the engagement diamond is a family heirloom passed down by his Great-Grandmother. I'd die if anything ever happened to it.

I didn't even know it was "supposed" to go on the inside - I was thinking I'd do it the other way for the same reason! My engagement ring gets slightly loose when the weather is cold, and if one should happen to slide off, I know which one I'd pick.

Mine will be with whoever my FH picks to hold my ring. I already got my wedding band attached to my engagement ring. My wedding band was too small, so it made more sense to get it sized and both rings soldered together before the wedding. And this way I won't lose it on my honeymoon.

My Ring will be on my Finger. I would hate to take my ring off and Lose it during the Ceremony, because there will be so much going on that day.
