Which bachelorette would you pick?

Kristin, on February 14, 2018 at 12:10 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 27
My girls have collected information on three bachelorette options. They all sound fabulous and I'm not sure which to pick!

1. Central NY/fingerakes day or overnight. Would involve wineries, breweries, possible waterfall hiking.
2. Spa day probably somewhere in central NY.
3. Weekend in Philly where we would do sightseeing, could also visit breweries and check out the city in general.

Other info: 2 of the maids are local to Philly, one is in NYC and two are in central NY. I am also in central NY and the wedding will be here.

Which would you pick?

Honestly just depends on everyones finances. If everyone can swing the philly it'd choose that. I love philly tho so maybe im biased. But it also might be nice for the girls in philly to not have to travel again. Which one sounds best to you tho?

I would choose Philly but I'm a little biased because I lived there while I was in school, haha. If you're into wineries and breweries I would pick one that involved those. My friend did a bachelorette weekend at the finger lakes and she had a lot of fun. A spa day can be relaxing but I feel like that's something you could plan as a regular girls day. It just depends what kind of party you're looking for.

I would pick the cheaper option, I hate imposing on people! I’m not sure how far central NY is to NYC. But i would pick the one where most people are, since it’s 2/2 for central New York and philly, I would choose one of those spots. Or have the girls vote and say you’d be happy with either!

p ersonally I would love to go to a winery.

I love trips that offer the best of both worlds, so I think it’s really cool that you could do the hiking and the drinking in NY.
But I would personally pick Philly. It’s the only thing that I definitely wouldn’t do for no reason. The others I have done with friends just for a random girl’s weekend and that seems like something special.
Either way, all options ssound fun!

I am kind of leaning toward Philly so the two who live there won't have to travel up here another time and it's something new to me that I haven't done before. I went to college in Philly for 2 years but that was almost 10 years ago and I haven't really been back since other than to sleep over with the one BM. Being so close to the finger lakes, it's fairly accessible. Like my team at work just did a wine tour in the fall. The spa I could do any time and honestly bachelorette parties at spas kind of stress me out because the treatments are sooo expensive and I don't want anyone to feel obligated to get multiple things done.

I think Philly would be around the same cost as finger lakes since we would have to get lodging for out of towners either way.

Also it will be the end of April if that factors into the decision weather wise.

If it's going to be around the same amount, definitely do Philly! All good reasons, especially with the girls that live there getting to save on another NY trip. Plus, they'll be great tour guides!

Finger lakes is TOTALLY my alley so I’d pick that if it were just me. But my girls are more city girls so I might do philly to appease them but make sure we got some good me-friendly activities in there (BREWERIES) but general city sight seeing doesn’t excite me much

Ohhh reading this id definitely do philly, given your every-day accessibility to finger lakes stuff!

This totally depends on your preferences and your finances. I'm from the west side of the US, so I'm not super familiar with any of the places you're talking about - but going to a winery or a spa sounds awesome to me!

I would do the finger lakes just because I love wineries and being out doors. I will agree with some of the other girls the spa day could happen any other time. You could even do something like that closer to the wedding to help you relax.

I live in Philly, so I'm biased, but I think it would be a great bach location if you're from out of town! April should be a pretty good time of year weather-wise and there's a ton of great restaurants and bars/ breweries to go to.

My girls just settled on a location and we're doing Chicago! I feel like cities are good in general as bachelorette locations because there is so much to do and you can tailor the activities to fit everyone's budget.

Whatever is cheapest. I can't see spending hundreds of dollars for someone's bachelorette party.
