Which came first? Guest list or Venue?

Our wedding venue came first then our guest list

We knew about how many people we were planning on inviting, so I only researched venues that could accommodate that number.

Venue although we knew we wanted to keep it to 50-60. We are still working on the exact guest list.

Venue. We threw out a number and when we began doing calculations realized we weren’t inviting all 600 people we knew lol so the venue we have has a small cap and that’s what we’re sticking too. It’s helping us stay in budget.

I got a ballpark of how many guests we would be inviting before searching for a venue.

We had a rough estimate on what our guest list would look like before venue shopping, but ultimately I was willing to cut down the list if need be. We found a flexible space so we would be good either way!

It was kind of at the same time. I can only come up with about 60 people I'd want to invite, and the ceremony venue holds up to 60 people.

Venue but it’s a destination wedding that Tommy has 40 rooms. Our guest list is entirely too big for that amount of rooms and more people are attending than anticipated so we’ve run into a predicament!
