My guest list came first! I wanted a rough draft on how many people we had before looking at venues!

We had a number but not an exact guest list. It turns out it's actually really hard to find venues in my area that will allow a small wedding of 75 guests and still do all the wedding things like dancing, etc.

We had a rough guest list but knew we weren't going to be over a certain amount so our venue was first.

Guest list. If we know how many people, then we know what size venue we need.

Our guest list definitely came first. I have a large family and inviting some and not others was not an option. Luckily the venue we love can easily accommodate our guests.

Venue first We had a rough estimate of what we needed, so when we found our venue, we kinda went from there. our venue's package incudes 100 people, but we paid for an extra 50, so we made sure to invite close friends and family first, and then opened it to extended family and family friends. We also took into consideration that a LOT of our family on our dad's sides would not come, since they are out of state. our final guest count was just over 205, but we already have at least 30 no's, and we expect more. A lotof people still haven't mailed their invitations.

We had an idea of most of the people we wanted to invite but we booked the venue before we made the guest list final count.

Our wedding venue came first! Fortunately, it was plenty big and able to fit more people than we were going to invite and we knew that going in. But if it were smaller, I would have made the guest list work for the venue.

Guest list - I knew I needed a bigger venue so I started looking at venues that could accommodate the number of people we needed to invite!

Wedding venue then the guest list. I knew we wouldn't go over what the venue could hold (max capacity of venue 350-400 people). We invited 197 including vendors and wedding party

We had created our guest list even before we were engaged then we looked into venues that can work our budget with the guest list

Venue. We knew about how many people would be on the guest list, and the venue could have accommodated any number.

Guest list. I made a rough guest list to see an approx of how many people then picked a venue that would be big enough for all of my family. I wanted a small wedding but with a big family 200 is small. It really helped me determine the venue.

Venue. The venue was pretty much picked out before we had even met. I knew that our guest list would have to be 150 or less but didn’t start putting the guest list together until a couple months before picking our official date. Once the date was set and the venue was booked was when I started seriously putting the guest list together. For me the venue was more important as its where I’ve wanted to get married since I was 17/18 years old.
