We had some family and friends around us when it happened so of course they knew first. But i then face-timed my mom (we were on vacation and it wouldn't be back for another week) and after talking to her i called my best friend. Then Facebook did the rest!

Well both of our parents and my siblings were there, and they all knew way before I did! The first people we told were our closest friends and family. The rest found out on Social Media Smiley winking

Most of our dearest family members were in attendance during the proposal, and his mother told most of his family it was happening that night anyway. The only family we called right away were his grandma and my paternal grandparents. Then it was all of our closest friends. We told the rest of my family at Christmas the next day.

My mom was the first person to know. I’m not into the whole posting or making an announcement on social media. Many people asked me why I didn’t.

Everybody that mattered to us (all family) was present for the actual popping to the question, our parents then called anyone they thought should know and then we posted to social media, so I guess we told family first

I told my best friend first, then my mom, and then the rest of my friends. My FH proposed at night after a dnd session (he incorporated his proposal into the dnd session) so I had to wait a couple hours before telling anyone. Soon as it hit a time when I knew my best friend would be awake, I called her and told her, then, since my mom's a couple hours behind, I waited another couple hours before calling her. I blew up her phone until she answered!!

A little bit of both. Lol I told my family then my friends and our mutual friends. He then dragged it out and finally told his family a few days later. I was like geeze! I need to make a Facebook post, but I can't because your mom will see. She deserves a phone call!! Lol

My parents found out on their own when my whole immediate family was at a restaurant for my birthday dinner (FH's parents and sister were there too). My best friend is the only friend that knows FH & I are engaged, we're waiting to announce our engagement to other family & friends until our engagement party next Saturday.

We were in Iceland when it happened, so it was hard to get in touch with people. However, everyone already knew he would do it, but we told our parents first over FB messenger and then our friends as an announcement on FB when we got back!
