The first two big decisions you need to make for your wedding are when and where! But which decision was more important to you?? Which came first for you? Your wedding venue, or your wedding date?

We had a couple of dates in mind but we were set on the specific month! And from the looks of it that date worked out for everything. So I would say based on the venue and the church we picked the date around them.

My fiancé and I had a date range and the venue we selected had an opening within the time. Best decision ever!

We picked our wedding date for personal reasons. My fiances Grandpa recently passed away. His grandparents were happily married for over 50 years. We chose to get married on his grandparents anniversary, in honor of his Grandpa. We haven't found a suitable/affordable venue as of yet.

We liked/picked a date - 09/26/2020. We found a venue and fell in love. We selected a new date (9/12/2020), as the original one was unavailable. We realized we couldn't afford such an extravagant wedding and we found a new venue that didn't have the 9/12/2020 date. As fate had it, the new venue had 9/26 open and we booked it two Fridays ago!

I picked the venue and they did not have my date so I picked the date closest to the one I wanted! Venue actually means more to me So I’m ok with that! 😍

We had a timeframe in which we wanted to get married but didn't choose a specific date until we fell in love with a venue-- which didn't take long. We loved the venue so much we had to be VERY flexible with the date-- there were only a small handful of dates available and none of them were on a Saturday! But we are very happy with our decision and are super excited to get married this year.

We were so lucky that family friends own a wedding venue/barn. We were able to really pick our date.

A little bit of both. We knew we wanted to get married in September so we looked for open weekends based on that.

Venue first so we didn't fall in love with one and they didn't have our set date available.

I would say venue then date. We saw a few amazing venues that I could’ve easily fallen in love with but we knew we wanted a summer wedding with no specific date. So maybe I’d say we picked our season first and then found the venue.

For the Wiggins Wedding, the Wedding Date came first. Luckily the venue they wanted was available on that date.

We knew we wanted to be married in October so we started there. Once we checked out the venue October 16 worked best because the first two Saturday were booked, we chose 2021 because most of our family lives out of state so we wanted to give them as much time as possible to plan. Plus, it also helps us save more so we can have everything we want!!!

Our Weeding day came 1st,we are having a destination wedding in Dominican Republic and were lucky the date was available, we pick the date base in superstition and also to avoid confusion since in DR the day go before the month,10/10/20 was perfect.

I guess the venue. We had an idea of when we wanted to get married, but we didn't solidify the date until the venue let us know what was open.

This depends on what is most important to each couple. Do you have a special day you just have to have your wedding on? Your ideal venue may already be booked? Do you have a venue you know is the place you want to get married at and there’s no changing that? You may have to be flexible as to when you get married then based on that place’s availability.

We picked our date based on venue availability. However, we knew what season and year we wanted to get married in. We knew we wanted to get married in the summer of 2020, so when we talked with venues we asked if they had available dates in that season. We had a couple of different weekends in mind that we thought would work for us and picked based on venue availability. Hope this helps!!
